Ordered a Sony camera lens on Monday. Price looked good; regular $569 at most sites; was $514 a Digital Mega Store. Site indicated item was in stock and would ship in 1 to 2 business. By Friday I had heard nothing about item having been shipped; most online dealers send an e-mail confirming shipment. So, I called DMS and after waiting on hold 15 minutes to speak to someone I was told that the sale had to be "Confirmed". I was transferred to another individual and was told that the item had been back ordered and was shipping that day. And by the way do I need any additional items such as filters or any other accessories to go with the lens? I told him no and attempted to firm up a shipping date. This time he tells me another 1 to 2 business days instead of today that he mentioned earlier. So, that means sometime next week since this was Friday. I cancelled the order refusing to play their game. Bottomline, I would not recommend this seller to anyone. They obviously never intended to ship the lens until they had a chance to upgrade the order. I'll just go down and buy the lens for $569. Like most Sony items, this is a proprietary item and Sony keeps strict control over the sell price. So, I should have known something was fishy when MDS was the only seller to offer the lens under $569.
