“I order from DDD often, usually when they have great deals like Buy 1 Get 1 Free. Never had a messed up order, double charge, or any of that kind of thing, and their pricing, sales, and free shipping keep me coming back.
The only problem I've ever had is that they're willing to sell DVDs they don't have in stock. They get them in quickly, and ship partial orders under free shipping (which is slow, but acceptable since it's free) so a single order may arrive in several boxes over the course of a week or two. This isn't a problem at all for me, but some people might want a specific move right away, so it may be a consideration for some.”
“Newegg is THE place for computer gear. I'm usually willing to spend an extra buck or two to order from Newegg over a lesser company (often they are the cheapest, but not 100% of the time) because I know I'm getting solid, dependable service.
I've had to buy elsewhere from time to time when Newegg didn't have what I wanted or or was out of stock (or the other company was much, much cheaper), and it always reminds me why I prefer Newegg.
I've had to return bad hardware a couple of times, and let me tell you Newegg's online RMA process is as painless as it gets. Look up your old order, click on what you need to return, and they give you your RMA number right there. No digging around for receipts or any of that kind of hassle.
“Amazon has been one of my favorite on-line stores for as long as I can remember. I'm an Amazon Prime member, and I always get my orders in one or two days (one if shipped via Airborne, two if by FedEx or UPS).
I have only had to deal with customer service once out of at least 50 orders (probably twice that many), and they took care of me and gave me a gift certificate for my trouble.
Great selection, good customer service, superb reliability.”
