Disappointed with service. I purchased a Maytag Dishwasher from Designer Appliances on Oct 18, and ordered delivery, removal of existing dishwasher and an extended warranty. The order was processed promptly and the salesperson was v courteous. However, at the time of delivery and installation, the installer discovered that the new dishwasher was a tiny bit wider (frame) than the existing one, and he would need to remove and reinstall a wood strip that was in the cabinetry. He indicated to my wife that they dont normally do this, hooked up the dishwasher to the electricity and water and then left. Subsequently, we have followed up to get the dishwasher properly installed, and on the phone they assured us that someone would get back to us, and also on email, but to date 2 months later we still have no response to repeated emails and no resolution of the problem. I have called a handyman to come and fix the situation, and he would need to take the dishswasher out and do the job and essentially asks for the full installation charge again. What a waste. I should have just asked for delivery and removal since simply hooking up the reinstall is a trivial job, and for the $130 they charged for installation beyond the delivery and removal fees they should have done the job properly.
