Hello hello!,
My name is ET3 Silva with MCM Crew Dominant (NAVY) just recently stationed out of Bahrain. I want to say that my experience with the good people at PowerNotebooks was the absolute most outstanding customer server I have ever had with a computer company. Period.
I had a very strict time schedule that I needed to meet for my new laptop since I was deploying soon. Every company I had called turned me away stating that it would be impossible to meet my demand. In all honesty I wasn't upset because I knew a custom laptop wasn't easy to get out quickly, especially since I wanted an Alienware.
So I stumbled upon PowerNotebooks in a forum where someone had mentioned them off hand. I called them after hours expecting to leave a message but then Donald Stratton had picked up. Even after closing hours he was willing to answer all my questions. Not only that but he led me to a new manufacturer called Sager that I never heard of. Not only was Sager better but cheaper.
I got a more powerful notebook than the Alienware while saving at least 800 bucks. I was damn impressed. So I put in my order and had really tried to impress upon him I couldn't get my laptop any later than the date I mentioned. He told me he would get it done or die trying but he did warn I may cut it close so I was a little nervous.
Low and behold he got it to me five days before I needed it by! Every company I called (Alienware, Ibuypower, and FalconNorthwest) told me it was impossible to get it to me and he did it with days to spare. Not only was that impressive while my order was being processed I had received two e-mails informing me of how I could get discounts on the laptop I had already purchased. So even after making my order they were willing to cut me a military discount and a shipping discount.
I was too busy to unfortunately get back to them in time to follow through on the discount but they already saved me close to a grand so these guys deserve keeping their end of the profit anyway.
Donald was a great guy and was even willing to talk shop with me for a little while about new tech coming out. Speaking of which, Ivy Bridge was on the verge of coming out but not out yet by the time I made my order. Icing on the cake? My laptop arrived with Ivy Bridge without me even having to ask. Awesome.
I was willing to put down some heavy cash for all these companies and nobody was willing to help. I'm never going anywhere now except PowerNotebook.
I know I sound like a spokesperson or something but I was so incredibly impressed that I wanted to write them a great review in spite of my busy schedule. Its hard to find great companies in todays day and age and these guys are one of greatest.
