A Second time dealing with these folks and absolutely PERFECT!. Kevin is wonderful and very courteous, helpful, knowledgeable, professional, perfect quality, and prompt! I used to build my own computers but it got to be too much and I was and AM, VERY glad to have found KC computers. They will build it however you want and for what you want with QUALITY components that last and work wonderfully. That was key to me, when I built computers, I refused to build them if the customer wanted cheap no name components that wouldn't last the first month...I insisted on quality components even tho they may cost a little more. And tho KC will build with what you want, that they can obtain, They DO know quality components and recommend them and they don't recommend more than what you need like some do, to get more money. Kevin, what can i say? Many, Many thanks for another wonderful job and I WILL be back and WILL recommend you to others!!Thanks so very much.
My only beef is that I wish Resellerratings would allow a person to post review for each purchase from the same vendor instead of just updating the same review, but that is ok...thanks for this site guys!

Well, another satisfied customer. I sure don't understand why it is not a full 10 rating over here, for it not to be is just plain wrong. I have dealt with others such as monarch(they went under) who were good, but these guys at KC have outdone them all. A very very topnotch profedssional company and KEVIN IS the man. They put up with a not so nice email from me at the beginning, and had tremendous, endless patience throughout all facets of this order and treated me very very nicely, much nicer than I deserved. And now that the computer is here they are still very very fast and quick to respond and help or advise in any way they can. Kevin also gave me a lot of advice prior to the order on diff components so i got what I needed. They are not pushy. They are very polite and nice, almost too much so...chuckling.
The order went thru just fine, lickety split, and the computer was here before I was expecting it. Packaging for shipment was outstanding. Like I said, all facets of this deal was perfect or above perfect. They simply just don't come any better than KC Computers. I am also grateful there is an honorable company like them still around to do bare bones, and small enough to be personable and carry on a nice professional relationship with a customer. Another words, they aren't too big for their britches. They have been Very Very very honest with me. I trust them/Kevin totally.
Again, they bent over backwards for me, a kinda rude customer at the first and they never wavered from their customer care. And customer care, unlike with companies like Dell, etc, means just what it says to KC Computers.....Customer CARE..and the to care and take care of their customers.
So anyone looking for components or barebones or a system, you can't go wrong with KC, in fact I will be returning for another system next year...Hear that Kev?....stay in business bro...I'll be back!! Prices were very reasonable. In the early 2000's I built computers for 3 or 4 yrs and I would only build ones with quality components that were dependable and would last...and may cost just a mite more than a chep component that would not last a year, so I know how this business is, and they gave me a computer with components I am pleased with at a very reasonable price, and this computer will last for years to come.
I have thought long and hard and can't think of one thing about this whole transaction that was not tip top. Thanks again, KC and Kevin....t

OUTSTANDING!!!
One of the few BEST Photography dealers ever. They are tops on my list, even better than the really good B and H.
Not sure how many folks work there, but I had the pleasure of dealing with Jeff. You can't go wrong with the company and definitely not with Jeff. Ask for him. Very polite, professional, considerate, helpful, honest, and very very committed to customer SERVICE, which is rare today.
from start to finish a very very pleasant experience. Bought an EOS 5d kit and the price was great. Everything went fine and smooth, shipped on time, and very efficient. that 5d had hot pixels, so contacted Jeff and he very graciously crossshipped another one and gave me rma for the one I had. 2 days later had the new one and it was perfect, no problems with the camera. So within a period of 4 days of the initial order had gotten the first and exchanged and received the 2nd. Very very nice. I will be using them again for other purchases in the future. I can't say enough good about these guys, except that it doesn't get any better!...t

Oustanding, honest and caring...had a prob with the order, was not video guys fault, the manufacturer put the wrong item in mislabeled box....Video guys, bent over backwards to make it all right and had the right product the very next day to me....that's why I came back to them and will return in the future...Their service is tops..thanks Gary,....t

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE product!! I have purchased from these guys for the last 5 years and their product has major probs and I am fed up with them. I purchased the zonealarm suite in april and put it on, and recently it caused me to have no internet connection. All settings have been the same since install for 3 or 4 mos. Now all of a sudden I have no internet connection. I haven't changed a thing. I email them for support and tell them the problem, and tell them I want it resolved or my money back for a faulty product. Their answer? From Rose-only to say that the 30 day refund period is past. Not ONE word about how to fix the problem or any support. So I emailed a fiery email back demanding support. In the meantime I uninstalled the zonealarms and still no internet connection. I spent 5 hours deleting entries in the registry and other files manually described on their site for complete uninstall. still nothing. Then I search the internet and found hundreds of posts and articles about people having the same problem while it is installed and then after uninstalling. I found out that I had to do a winsock2 fix, because their sorry software had corrupted mine on uninstall. To me they are selling and distributing a virus, because it corrupts people's files that are installed on their computers. BTW, 3 of the last versions and upgrades I purchased from them did the same exact thing, only on those I ended up doing a clean install of windows because i did not search the net.
So my probs with them are NO SUPPORT!!! I did not want my money back unless the product could not be fixed...I wanted them to resolve the problem with the connection.
Virus...this product acts like a virus to me and others as testified on the web.
And with as many reports out there of this problem, it appears they do not care and are not trying to remedy the problem, just continuing to sell people a faulty product which to me is defrauding me.
Zonealarms get's great reviews and I loved it's firewall capabilities but after running a few mos and it terminates my connection(or corrupts my other files) and then definitely corrupts my files after uninstall, the product is not worth the hassle, nor the lack of support or care by their "CUSTOMER CARE"...
Far as I am concerned they are only interested in stealing my money for a product that is faulty and acts like a virus.....t

Guess I should have checked the review rating here first...I learned..Their website on Western Digital 250GB WD2500JDRTL Serial ATA (SATA/150) 8MB - Retail Hard Drive Kit., at 330 am this morning, said limit 2 per household. when I placed it in the cart and tried to select 2 it said 1 per household. To me this is false advertising(and I saved the page that said limit 2, in case it is needed) I spoke with a sales rep this morning, who was not rude but very cold and uncaring and stated they had the right to change the limitations and that they had changed it to 1....yet when I told him that even now while speaking to him i had the page up and it still said limit 2 per household, he did not know what to say, he was caught in a lie. I understand that but I also know they were closed at 330a.m., because I called them at 330am too, so I KNOW they did not change the limitations at that time which I placed my order. SO to me they basically tried a bait and switch with a twist to it. THis is very dishonest and I will be filing a report with the better business bureau to keep on record. As I said the guy was not rude but cold and uncaring...not very customer friendly. No apologies or anything, no explanations...when I explained that it said 2 per household at 330 am and then once in the basket, it only let 1, he acted and sounded like he could really care less...which if that is typical of theirstore, it is a good thing I canceled the orders, which he did do for me. It is my opinion from my experience just now, that these people don't care anything about being decent to a customers nor apologizing nor listening to what they are saying, and trying to figure out went wrong and trying to find a median solution. FUrther when I told him that the site still has it at limit 2 per customer, he did not know what to say, but acted as if he wanted to end the call. He was very unfriendly and cold to me at that point. In my opinion, and from this experience it is my opiinion that this company is dishonest and practices in false advertising and is very UN customer friendly and service..if it had been a misprint, i would have understood, but don't stand there and tell one lie after another...that they were changing the limitations(which has no bearing on 330 am if you are changing them now at 10 am) and then telling me they were changed when they weren't. When I told him i wanted to cancel the orders, he was only to happy to cancel them in a hurry just to get rid of me. He also said that the rebate that was for the drive only applied to one drive per household. I told him his site was very misleading and he did not care about that either. Their site said $60 dollar rebate bringing the price of the drive down to xxx dollars, and then it said limit 2 per customer...So there was another lie by him or the company. at this moment, 1035 a.m. 5-21-05 after speaking with him 30 minutes ago, that page STILL says that and only the price has been changed, so they accessed the page and changed the price but not the misleading 2 per household. One note, now that they have changed the price you can NOW enter 2 drives in the shopping cart, but no where does it say only one rebate per household. SO this is proof to me they were misleading and dishonest. My advice, shop elsewhere with someone who can be trusted and who cares about customers ..t

Purchased in 1-14-01 had to use 2003 above. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS unless you want no support!!
I bought their OCR 4.0 from them in 2001, from a reseller for them. I lost the serial number recently, and emailed them for a replacement, with my order number and email and everything. They refuse to give another serial number, and say I have to rebuy the program from them....THis is one of the most blatant examples of bait and switch and crooked dealings ever...I WILL be filing with the BBB also. below is their response to my request...
"Based upon some web research the original company that your downloaded
the software is out of business with no one handling their assets.
NewSoft is unable to offer a replacement serial number for the software
since it was purchased from a 3rd party company more than 2 years ago.
At the present we can offer you a 10% discount on OCR Pro 4 if it is
purchased from our customer service department at 510-445-8600 x100.



Also the software can be purchased from the NewSoft online store at
http://www.newsoftinc.com ; "


It would follow the normal STRAIGHT dealing that if the software was put out by Newsoft, then they should be able to replace the serial number, no matter where it was purchased from. These guys are crooked from the word go.....t

USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!!!
Dell has proven to be dishonest, a bait and switch company, and a company that has not concept of what "Customer Care" really means.

I have purchased 2 laptops from them in 4 years...the second one, 2 years ago, was a nitemare...I called and asked the rep if the modem was v 92 and if the USB was 2.0...His reply....no idea what USB 2.0 was, and He figured the modem was v92 since it was and internal modem....I about fell out of my chair at such and incompetent answer.

I like their complete care warranty and so came back a third time...glutton for punishment...I ordered an Inspiron 9100 3.2ghz processor. The specs on their site for this laptop and processor show there are 512kb of L2 cache on the processor which makes it a Northwood processor which was what I wanted. WHen I got my receipt 2 days later in the email, low and behold the processor was 1 mb cache..a Prescott processor....I specifically told them when I ordered I wanted the Northwood. So I called back and after 30 minutes of phone runaround thru automated menus which Dell has miles of,the rep said I would have to take whatever the plant had...I said, HUH UH, cancel the order then...you want to lie to me when I place my order, and then switch it to a processor I do not want then you can just cancel the order.

I called today and spoke with a supervisor about it again and told him the site still was listed as a Northwood on their site..no mention at all of Prescott nor 1 mb cache...it took me 45 minutes of being transferred here and there on the phone to get to him,...and then he told me I would have to be transferred to customer care so they could make the changes...I told him that they were the jerks that transferred me to him..I told him I had had enough of Dell's BS and I would buy elsewhere...not with a dishonest, non caring company like Dell.

ALso my email experience with them shows they could care less about the customer. they replied all right, but obviously WITHOUT reading what I wrote...never, not in 1 email did they address the issue(s) I sent the emails for..they responded about some off the wall crap...So they don't pay attention nor care about the customer...
So if you wanna play phone tag and get lied to and cheated to and no customer care, then Dell is for you.
A word of warning...when you call Dell number there is NO guarantee you are even talking to a rep in the US...I found out the rep I talked to was in Malaysia...
Really good there Dell..so much for trust....no wonder people's identities get stolen and credit card info...Dell reroutes your calls to other countries and you have NO idea and then you are placing your order on the phone giving your credit card info and personal info to someone in another country that you have no idea if you can trust or not.
My advice? Stay a long way away from Dell...t
I would also add that the rep this time Had NO clue as to what a prescott processor or a northwood processor nor an Intel processor even were..He thought all three were 3 different brands of processor...sheesh.

I will never buy nor recommend another ATI product again. I upgraded my system to a p4c800 motherboard in Jan and read in the manual that 9700pro video cards, models earlier than a certain number were unstable with the mb. So I contacted ati about it to see if they would replace mine with another one of a later model than indicated in the manual. I told them that there was nothing wrong with mine other than it was of the earlier model. They agreed to replace it with later one..well they sent another earlier model...i called and raised cain and asked them why they promised to send a later one and did not...i told them that if they had not agreed to replace it i had no prob, because asking would not hurt anything, but when they promised to do it I expected them to do it. When I raised cain, they assured me the mb manual was wrong and that the card was fine with it. Well, I have had it in now since I got it from ati in feb, and guess what? the video card crashes frequently and yes it is the video card because it freezes the system and all of a sudden blinks and it is 16 bit color at 400x600...and sometimes it crashes and there is just no picture on the screen at all..just goes blank, and then once rebooted XP comes up and says fatal error with the video card..so I will NEVER buy ATI again because they lied and they have shown their incompetence to me...

These guys are the BEST!. I now have a new source for my digital photography needs. I needed a vx2100 fast and they got it to me FAST. ANd in good shape. They were very helpful, very courteous, very caring, and professional. Not pushy. Their site is well laid out, I was kept apprised of the status of my order in a very efficient and prompt manner. Can't say enough good things about them. Thought I had a problem with the camcorder upon arrival....(found out later it was nothing wrong, just that I was holding my eye to the eyepiece crookedly, seeing a line that was not really there, but appeared that way as my eye was not centered, my fault) and they were very prompt and willingly gave me an RMA number for it to replace it, they were very desirous to make me happy...the definition of customer care. I found out that nite the reason I saw the blue line and knew there was nothing wrong with the camcorder. So I canceled the rma. But it was comforting to know that they were caring of the customer and would bend over backwards if needed. I am grateful to them for their care and for putting up with my many calls with a courteous patience. THanks Onecall. and most of all thanks PATRICK...you were the best. thanks..t

Excellent! I had been getting my ink and printer supplies from Nerds, but they messed my orders up a couple times so went in search of a new vendor.
THese guys came up and they were VERY fast, courteous, accurate, and professional. I can't say enough about how pleased I am with them. THis is my second order from these guys, I have recommended a them to a friend, who also has ordered from them recently with very pleasurable results. If you want something and want it done right and promptly, give these folks a call. Especially Scott. that was who I dealt with and it was a great experience. Fast and informative emails , the whole nine yards. Thanks Titanlogic,also very reasonable prices...t

Another OUTSTANDING experience...This is my second order from these guys, Sy, to be specific..great guy. I needed something next day and Sy assured me it would be. It was delivered next and they emailed me the tracking number the nite before as soon as it shipped...This was another wonderful online shopping experience...I highly recommend them and really recommend you talk to Sy..thanks...t

First the good. The people at customer service were very polite. My experiences with these people in the past were always top notch. That is why I came back, but I won't after this due to the inaccurate advertising, unorganized, and dishonest way they have become.
I ordered Photoshop CS on a Saturday. Ad advertises, "ships same day"..and I understannd on weekends that that means Monday as they are closed on Wkends. upon submitting order their site changes the shipping add. I put in for one it wanted. I called monday and made them change it. Called Tuesday for a tracking number..they said it shipped tuesday and too early to get tracking number...hmmm...same day was monday, not tuesday. So called Tuesday night, no tracking number. call wed morning, no tracking number but the guy says it is because the distributor that shipped it had not uploaded the tracking numbers and was going to email it to him at thattime and he would email me. 2 hrs later, nothing. I call and tell them to either provide the tracking number in 30 min or cancel the order. (All these calls I emphasized my need for this by thurs. and that I would pay next day if necessary,...the lady on tuesday ensured me she would take care of this.) Well I called back 30 minutes later and was told they had not sent them the tracking number yet. I said cancel it. She called the distributor and said that he would put in a hold to not ship and to cancel...hmm..""not ship" and I was told it shipped on Tuesday...I asked, what if it had shipped what to do...she never would address this question but hemmed and hawed around it...and I knew them that they had lied and it had NOT shipped on Tuesday. Whether they had or not, they have lied to me for 3 days about it and are disorganized to the point that the phone reps have no idea of what is going on or how to get a tracking number or if anything has been shipped. Advertising? They did NOT ship same day, and they do not try to satisfy the customer. They should have, after many calls from me, made a half ass effort to find out the status and the tracking number. They kept stringing me along. even after I told them i needed it thurs...and if they could not get it here by then, then cancel and i would go elsewhere...well..they never attemtpted to find out if it would be here by then..My advice...these people have gotten sorrier since I used them last..stay away from them and go to someone who cares enough to followup and KNOWS what the heck is going on.....t

This is about the 5th order from these guys, and I WILL keep coming back. They are great and professional and courteous and accurate and wonderful to deal with. Especially Howard...
I have used B and H, who is very good also, but these guys, comparable to B and H in price, are tops on everything else, way over B and H. Samy's really cares about the customer and gives great advice and does not try to stick you with some high dollar thing that you would not use. This is the best Photographic equipment Store I have ever seen, bar NONE...t
