I had a Segate Smart HD displaying a error message "Drive is going bad, back-up and then get serviced" Was under extended warranty, took to Columbus Store. They sold me anexternal HD and a back-up followed by the relacement of the Segate.
Promised "It will be just like New, fresh out of the DELL box"
NOT!
Asked for old HD back when I picked up Machine, dept manager told me no.
I have no rescue partition, no Dell software at all, and the best part. The back-up they did is nothing but 39GB of empty folders. No 12 years of family photos & videos. No music collection, nothing.
Support said they were sorry and then asked me for the old HD. Told me I should have received it along with the machine at pick up. I explained how the manager would not give it to me after I had asked for it.
Said they were sorry again and then refunded the back-up charges. Said they would try to find the old drive,3 days and waiting!
