Beware of Adorama's Refurbished by Nikon line. I bought one of their Refubished by Nikon lenses for a job. However before I needed it the job was pushed back a few months. When I finally used it in my camera I found that all the pictures were as if I used film and overexposed my negatives. From what I was able to ascertain from the lens the aperture settings did not work. The only way I was able to use it was by constantly setting the ISO and shutter speed. I finally reached a point where I don't need the lens so I sent it into Nikon to get fixed, but unfortunately before I even started to use it the 90 day warranty had expired. So, if you buy any of Adorama's Refurbished by Nikon equipment test it thoroughly as soon as you get it.

I ordered a HP C4781A, they had two a refurbished one and one that was not. I ordered the more expensive one that was not refurbished. I recieved a used unit. It was obvious, because I have bought this item before, it was missing the packing material, the orange/yellow peices of plastic that keeps things from moving. In addition, it was dirty and the cables were not in the plastic bags; moreover, you could see wear marks where the item went up against the mail bings. I called them, and the left me on hold for 40 minutes and then I got dial tone. I then sent them some email.

I purchased a factory refurbished HP 3000 sheet stacker that they had. When I received it I immediately noticed it was not factory refurbished as advertised on their web site, but it was used and it poor condition. They also called and said that there web site charged me the wrong price for shipping, they said it was $50 for handling and $122 for shipping. These guys are pirates.

First I was somewhat hesitant about buying from this merchant; however, I did see at another web site that they actually have a physical store.

1/11/2006 received order confirmation. No call backs or hard sell.
1/12/2006 received shipment notification.
1/12/2006 arrived at fedex
1/17/2006 fedex lost it (stolen)
I called best buy plasma, the person who answered was concerned, polite, and compansionate he stated that I need to call fedex have them run a trace on it and then let him know the results of the trace and if they can't find it he will send me out a replacement.

I called fedex and ordered a trace about 2 days later I got the result. I then told Best Buy Plasma the results and they stated they would send me out another one.

1/20/2006 received order confirmation
1/23/2006 received shipment notitifation; however, package was not actually given to fedex until 1/25/2006.

1/28/2006 package delivered.

I definitely would purchase from bestbuyplasma again.
