After reading all of the harsh reviews of dakmart's service, quality control, return policy, and other shady business practices, I was understandably hesitant to place an order with them...
Nevertheless, the sweet siren-call of $170 refurb'd Sennheiser IE8 canalphones was too much for even a skeptic like myself to ignore. So I took the plunge... (after making sure they were an authorized dealer, and going through a few forums on headfi about someone who had received counterfeits from them a few months back)
I ordered my headphones via telephone so that I could use paypal as an extra layer of protection (still didn't trust them as I was ordering). I spoke to a cheery and helpful woman who wrote up an invoice for the headphones and got my email address. She assured me that the item would ship out by Wednesday. Minutes later I received a paypal request in my inbox.
For two days I kept my fingers crossed that they would ship on time. Wednesday morning 6am, I receive an email stating that my item had shipped and that I could track it by clicking on a link in the email... The link didn't work, but the tracking number did. So for the next two days I kept my fingers crossed that the items I receive will be the real deal, and not some crap from China (no offense). Friday noon-ish my headphones arrive in a plastic bag and everything looks legit. The only thing that was missing was the cleaner tool/bass adjuster(mini screwdriver). And I think I can buy one with the $200 dollars I saved on these.
Overall I'm extremely satisfied with my purchase, but I would only use them if they had a refurb deal that was too good to pass up (which they very well may have...)
