I'm satisfied with KEH. I will probably do business with them in the future. But I do take issue with some of their business practices.
Although they provide a customer service email address, it's been my experience that KEH does not answer emails. If you have a question it's better you call them and speak directly with someone. They always answer the phone.
Additionally, I am unsatisfied with their handling of an item that was shipped to me in a defective condition. I spent $160 on a lens that was listed in "excellent" condition. Within one minute of fixing it to my camera, I realized that it was not functional. In addition, the condition of the lens was quite heavily worn. This surprised me as many reviews of KEH consider their rating system to be very conservative.
KEH was not able to replace the lens with an identical lens, but they were not willing to budge even slightly on similarly-priced items that would have served just as well. My only option was to mail the lens back at my own expense and wait for a refund.
Their best offer of compensation was to send me a similar product with no shipping charge (most items on their website are advertised at free shipping anyway this week).
Basically I paid KEH about $20 to work in their quality control department for a day; that's what I'm unhappy about. I will probably continue to purchase relatively inexpensive items from them, but for $500 and up purchases I think it's worth the extra money to go with a more customer-oriented seller.
