Ordered a pair of Maui Jim sunglasses on 2/28, paid with PayPal that day. Received e-mailed receipts from both PayPal and Shark Stores. And then I waited...
Sunglasses had not arrived as of March 9, so I emailed Shark Stores to inquire about status. No answer. I emailed again on March 13. No answer. I called Shark Stores customer service on March 15 and was told by the service rep that she would investigate and email me back that day. No answer, no email. I called again on Fri., March 16. Same rep. No apology for blowing off the promised email. "Oh, yes, I talked with the distributor. They are in California and they will ship the glasses today, and the order will arrive on Tuesday, March 20". Today is Wed., March 21 and the mail (and UPS) have come and gone. No sunglasses. I called again. This time I spoke with "Greg". Greg tells me the computer shows the order was sent March 5. I told him I had already been told that the shipment was going to be shipped on Friday, March 16, but in any case they have not arrived. Greg told me he would investigate and call me back. This is where we are right now.
At the end of the day I am willing to bet that I either will receive no phone call OR I will be told that my order has been documented as shipped. And then I will need to go through the hassle of filing a PayPal claim.
I used Shark Stores for the "convenience" and to save a few bucks. FAIL, big time.
