I placed an order on Thursday afternoon (10/30) for a camcorder. Shortly afterwards, I received a confirmation email about my order.

The following day (10/31), I checked the status of my order, but there was no change. I figured because of the weekend, I would give them the benefit of the doubt and check again on Monday.

On Monday (11/3), I checked the status again... no change. I called their customer service and was told that the order would be sent out that afternoon, and I would receive an email once is shipped.

On Tuesday (11/4), I checked the status again... no change. I also checked my email... no email. I contacted their customer service again (via chat on their website - nice feature). I was told that orders are processed 24-48 hrs after they are submitted, and it would be processed that day.

On Wednesday (11/5), I checked that status again... no change. I checked my email... no email. When I contacted their customer service again, I was told the same thing... it would be shipped out that day. At this point, I told the rep that I've been told this multiple times. He didn't have a reply, so I decided to quit waiting and cancel my order. When I called to cancel my order, they told me that the order had been shipped last night (11/4) and gave me a UPS tracking number. I went to UPS's website, but they weren't able to give me any info on the tracking number I was given. I then called them back to verify the tracking number, and the person I talked to said that it shipped today (11/5). I noticed that when I threatened to cancel the order, they simply told me that the order had already been shipped out. Pretty shady.

UPDATE: I finally received an email from UPS for my shipment... one week after I placed the order. In the details, it listed 11/5 as the shipping date, which confirms that they lied when I called to cancel it. It's scheduled for delivery on Monday (11/10), so I'll write another update on the condition at that time.

This reseller appears to be legitimate, but I'm not happy with the ordering process (coupled with their unwillingness to cancel my order and lying about it shipping) and would not order from them in the future.

This was the first time I purchased a pair of shoes online. Normally for clothing type items, I like to try them on before buying them. Unfortunately, I could not find the style anywhere locally, so I decided to give shoes.com a try.

One of the nice things they offer is free exchanges or returns on unworn shoes. I figure if the size was wrong, I could simply send it back and exchange it for a different size. This is a great option, particularly since they will pay to have it shipped back to them.

The shoes arrived very quickly... within a couple days after I submitted the order.

Five months later, I noticed that one of the eyelets had broken on one of the shoes. I simply contacted their customer service via the web (live chat). The person who helped me was very helpful and told me that for defective shoes, I could either return it for a refund or exchange it for a new pair... again with them paying for shipping.

I would not hesitate to do purchase with them again. You do not have to worry about them being a company out of someone's basement/garage. They are a legitimate company... owned by the Brown Shoe Company which is a publicly traded company on the NYSE.

Placed my order for a camcorder via the web and received a "confirmation" call the following day. Like many other websites, they use the opportunity to try to sell you additional accessories (which are overpriced). The rep was professional and helpful. In addition, she was very responsive to email questions afterwards. They also upgraded my order to 4-6 day shipping instead of the normal 7-10 day.

Since I found the camcorder cheaper elsewhere, and they do not advertise a price protection guarantee, I wanted to return the entire order right after I received it. When I called their Customer Service Dept to get an RMA #, I sat on hold for 10-15 minutes.

The person who finally answered asked me why I wanted to return it. I simply told them that I found it cheaper elsewhere. He asked me how much and offered to give me an additional $40 off the price. I told him that I could get the entire order for almost $150 less, at which point he basically called me a liar. I told him that it doesn't matter if he believes me or not because I simply wanted to return it. Finally, he gave me an RMA #.

If you do order from them, do some checking on accessories before agreeing to have them added to your order... because more than likely they are overpriced (even after they give you a 50% discount on them).

UPDATE (11/8/2008) - I received a call from the VP at Abe's of Maine. He wanted to follow-up on the problem with my order. After explaining what happened, he offered his apologies and told me that he'd talk to the rep that I spoke with. In addition, he offered to send me a $100 coupon and movie tickets in order to try to win back my business. I will say that I was surprised to hear from someone following up on my review here. It was a nice surprise to find out that they actually care about their reviews. Because of this I have updated my review and would consider giving them a second chance with my business. I will also update this review again once I receive the coupons that they offered as well as my refund to my credit card.

UPDATE (11/13/2008) - I received a full refund on my order and the gift certificates. As I said previously, I do appreciate that they took the time to follow-up on my complaint. They do seem to be very concerned about customer satisfaction. Although this order did not go very well, I will give them a second chance in the future.

My advice is that if you have any concerns about your order that you should call them. If the customer service rep is not very helpful, then ask to speak to their supervisor. Eventually, you will get in touch with someone who cares about your business.

Placed order on their website, then received an email confirmation shortly afterwards. I received my order within a week without any problems.

I've purchased from Amazon multiple times and have been very happy overall. Unlike other resellers, they do not call you to confirm the order so they can try to sell you more things. If you know what you want, the ordering process is very simple and quick.

In addition, they offer a price protection guarantee which I have taken advantage of multiple times. If you find that they sell the product for less than what you bought it for (within 30 days), you can simply contact them via their website and get the difference refunded to you. No calls necessary.

Placed an order on their website. Received a confirmation email shortly afterwards. I received a shipping notification email the next business day with tracking information. Within a week, I received the product.

This was my first transaction with this seller, but I have no complaints and am happy with the product I received.

I finally received my order yesterday. For some reason they did not ship it right away. I called last week Wednesday to find out that my order had not yet shipped (not sure why). This was three business days after I placed the order. In any case, they were able to get it shipped that day, and it took 4 business days to reach me.

Excellent seller. I submitted my order via Amazon on a Friday and received it the following Monday. This was with UPS Ground. Will definitely do business with again.

The seller was very helpful and flexible. They were willing to make payment arrangements when their website was not working properly. I placed my order on Wednesday and received it on Friday (two days)... great turnaround even though it was free shipping.
