Ordered a cheap computer case for a build I was putting together. I had ordered smaller items (modems, mice) from them before and chose to order here due to a free shipping special, but was mildly concerned due to some of the reviews here. Happy to say, the case arrived in excellent condition. Gearxs had packaged the manufacturers case box in a larger box for shipping, something which not enough companies do to prevent damage. Would definitely order here again.

Ordered a motherboard and cpu combo from them. Their website was easy enough to use, but the process of paying them via paypal is more complicated than it should be. If a popup blocker catches the window to pay at checkout, there is no info on their site on how to send payment to them. Their customer service phone support, however, was friendly and helpful in resolving this issue. Once the product arrived, I was mildly disappointed to discover that their boards do not come with any cables or manuals, and the only drivers were provided on a burned cd. No mention of that on their site anywhere. All in all, slightly frustrating, but mediocre and typical of many online stores.

Placed book pre-order for a book listed at $7.95 plus shipping. Shipping was estimated at $2.50, and I put a note/comment on the order to contact if shipping was signifigantly higher. My order did not ship until a week after they had the item in-stock, and I was charged $24.72 for shipping. 10x the original quoted cost and I was never contacted to authorize this!

Update: Supposedly this error was caused by a glitch in their computer system. The extra shipping charge was refunded, however, this doesn't make up for all the hassle.

Ordered a socket A/370 3-pin heatsink/fan. Not that difficult of an order to screw up, but they somehow managed to send a 40pin socket 7 hs/fan. Didn't even realize they still made those. Haven't managed to successfully contact 'customer service' yet, but will update when/if I do. I have a feeling, based on the other posts here, that I'll have better luck with my credit card company.

Update: CC Co will not do anything until the item is returned, but I can't get a RMA number. They do not respond to emails, you cannot get a live person on the phone, and all their voice mail boxes are full. Complaint now on file with the BBB, who have also recieved no response from this company. Big mistake, ordering from anywhere without checking reseller ratings first. If you're reading this, DON'T BUY HERE!

Ordered a wireless keyboard and mouse from them. Items were packed very well, and recieved within a week. Definitely recommend.

Placed two orders, and had some shipping issues with UPS allowing me to pickup the items. Jason and Mark were able to contact UPS to resolve the problem.

Took two weeks to recieve ram. Was worried after reading other reviews on here, and was unable to reach their phone support after multiple attempts. I was lucky my order arrived, but I WOULD NOT recommend anyone buy here. There is NO phone support, they have four contact numbers, and no one answers any of them.

Upgrade Solution sells many used hard drives, in addition to their new ones. You may need to read carefully on their site to determine which drives are new and which are refurb. That said, I have ordered a refurb drive from them 4 times with no problems. Drives have always arrived within a good timeframe, and they warranty their refurbs for a year.

Ordered a BFG Geforce FX5900 video card from them. Card was advertised as new OEM. Recieved item within a week, but the card was visibly a used card, as it had dust accumulation around the heatsink and on the back of the card. Upon testing the card, the fan on it was dead and it causes the PC to bluescreen.

Attempted to contact customer support, and they have some of the most hostile CS reps I have ever encountered. Their manager, Joel, is always "out of the office" , and I have yet to be able to speak with their CS manager, assuming there is actually such a person there. I may end up having to do a CC chargeback, something I have never had to do in 5 years of ordering parts online.

DO NOT waste your time with these people, they are nothing but con artists. Also, they may be operating under the name Shentech, and I would recommend avoiding them under that name as well.
