I purchased a replacement battery for my Dell D600 laptop from this company on March 22, 2008. The price and shipping were reasonable and competitive.

The item was in processing for a day or two, and was shipped U.S Postal Service Priority Mail. I believe I received it two days after it shipped. Overall I was satisfied with the speed of shipping and handling.

I received the correct item and it was packaged well. I was impressed that they even used a static-free pouch.

Though I had a very good experience with this company, if I was forced to complain about something it would simply be that the shipment did not include a packing list or copy of the invoice.

But that is a trivial matter and I would do business with them again.

I had a good experience with this website. I was upgrading my Intel Core 2 Duo E6400 to a Core 2 Quad Q6600 and MWave.com had the best price for a store with a relatively good rating.

I found the price and cost of shipping quite competitive, and the item was processed quickly and arrived just days later.

I would definitely consider doing business with them again.

I placed an order on Feb. 26. When I noticed my order was still on hold on Mar. 1, I e-mailed the company's support (there is no phone support). I got a response on Mar. 3. It told me that one of the items I'd ordered was on two week backorder, hence the hold. The item's page on their website said "Normally ships within 2-3 business days."

They did offer to split the shipment at no extra cost, shipping the items that were in stock now and the backordered item later. Still, I would have preferred to know this immediately. I elected to split the shipment, and on Mar. 4 they said my order would be shipping that afternoon.

Later that day, I received an e-mail saying the items had shipped. Days passed. I checked the order status link provided in the e-mail, and noticed there was a way to track the order. I pushed the Track button, and it took me to UPS' website, but it said the shipment could not be located.

It appeared that the website was sending my order number to UPS as a tracking number, hence the failure. "No big deal," I thought. "I'll just e-mail them. So I e-mail them on Saturday, Mar. 8 and ask them to provide the UPS tracking number. As of the end of the day Tuesday, Mar. 11, I had not received any response, and still did not have my items. A full 14 days had passed since my original order, and 8 days since they claimed the items were shipped. I sent another e-mail asking for the tracking number, and expressed my concern.

Late afternoon on Wednesday, Mar. 12, I still had not received my items nor any sort of contact since the shipment notice 9 days prior.

At this point, I had enough. For three hours, I scoured domain name WHOIS records for any sort of address or phone or e-mail information I could find out about 4CompuElectron.com and it's affiates like CyberGiftCenter.com. I found several phone numbers, but one was faked and two others were disconnected. Address listings were a dead end as reverse searches by address turned up nothing that I could tell was a e-commerce company. So, I resorted to sending another e-mail to the company, this time demanding a refund and threatening the BBB, resellerratings.com, and bizrate.com on them. They responded in 2 hours saying that my order would be cancelled and there would be no charge to my credit card. As of today, Monday, Mar. 17, it does not appear they have charged my credit card.

I would never do business with them or an affiated site again. Steer clear! Horrendous customer service and either very slow shipping or this is a scam.

I ordered a Panasonic KX-TG6053S cordless telephone set from BeachCamera.com. I was satisfied with the website, the price, and the quick shipping.

However, I was not satisfied with the store's return policy. They charge a 10% restocking fee on returned merchandise and on top of that require you to pay for return shipping and do not refund the money for the initial or the return shipping.

Their website describes this policy adequately, however I was not satisfied with their disclosed reasoning for foisting the return shipping cost onto the customer. They say the cost of return shipping is "like or comparable to your cost of driving to any store for returning an item." I paid the equivalent of about 20% of a tank of gas in my car in shipping costs today to return the item, and that was only because I have a FedEx account; it would have been more otherwise. It does not take me almost a quarter tank of gas to drive to and from a store.

While their return policy is disclosed upfront on their website, it is very costly to return items to BeachCamera.com. I approximate that I am losing about $24 on an item that was $100 in terms of shipping (both the initial and the return) and the restocking fee.

Money aside, the return process was relatively painless.

I found this store to have an excellent price on a Linksys WRT54GL wireless-G router. I had never heard of PCBAY before, but I decided to give them a chance.

I received a confirmation e-mail shortly after placing my order containing a UPS tracking number. My order shipped the next day, and arrived in perfect condition at my door three days following.

I was very satisfied with my first experience with PCBAY and would not hesitate to do business with them again in the future.

I have spent well over $4000 at New Egg over the past two and a half years. For my first few orders, I couldn't be happier. Their prices are some of the lowest around and my items got to me well packed and in an incredibly timely manner.

But lately, specifically my last three orders from them, it has taken a longer and longer time for the item to even ship. They say they are committed to getting the item out the door by the end of the second business day since the order was placed, but that just hasn't happened for me. Especially my last order. It's been 3.5 business days now and it still hasn't shipped.

I may be acting fickle regarding this, but as New Egg used to pride itself on service, I just cannot recommend them for that anymore. For price yes, but you can find lower prices elsewhere. It used to be about the price + service for New Egg. Sadly, that service part has all but disappeared, making them almost no different than any other retailer on pricewatch.com, except that maybe they have a nicer website.

I don't want to say stay away from them, but just don't expect any consistency in getting your order shipped on time.
