Bait and Switch - Low life rip-offs. Placed order for Samsung TV under the impression unit was "in-stock". Received follow-up phone call "to verify high dollar purchase". The real reason was high pressure tactic to purchase extended warranty and wall mount. When I refused, salesperson was very aggravated. I then received a notice that product was out of stock and was backordered for 2-3 weeks. I left the B/O in place. Four weeks later I tried to inquire about B/O by going to ext. of salesperson. As soon as I talked to him and mentioned Back Order, I was put on hold for 15-20 min before hanging up. I called back and pushed number for sales department. I pretended that I was making a new purchase. I inquired about exact part# I had ordered four weeks ago. I was told the item was "in stock". I asked if order was placed today, how many days would it be, before unit actually shipped. The reply was "3 days". I then said I actually ordered a unit 4 weeks ago and gave sales order#. I was e-mailed B/O notice stating 2-3 weeks. Why hasn't my unit shipped? After being put on hold for 10 minutes, the response was that they just received them last Thursday and they were now in stock. I said, please ship my order. The response was a sales pitch to purchase an extended warranty and wall mount. "These units only come with a 90 day warranty" which is a lie, because Samsung website states 1 year warranty. I was then quoted a new price which was $158 higher than my hard copy Sales Order and price discussed with original salesman. The new price included "Insurance". I stated that the SO already had $169 shipping charge listed. "Shipping does not include 7% Insurance Fee"! When I protesed undocumented charges, I was told Insurance Charges were listed in their Terms & Conditions. I cancelled order. It is obvious that company posts artifically low price, then tries to upsell warranty and options. When unsucessful they Back Order, then inflate additional shipping charges.
