Ordered an AppleCare protection plan for a recently purchased MacBook Pro (not bought from this retailer). The order was processed and shipped quickly, and I received the item in the specified time frame. The company included a printed catalog in the package, and I contacted them to ask that I not receive such mailings in the future (I get way too many catalogs as it is). Customer service responded in less than 24 hours honoring that request, and I have not seen a single subsequent mailing.

Purchased a 16 GB memory upgrade for my MacBook Pro from this merchant. The order was processed and shipped the same day and was in my hands the next. Even with sales tax, the cost was significantly cheaper than other major online and brick-and-mortar stores. The memory has been working well thus far, and I would definitely look to RAM Experts for a future purchase.

I have small, wide feet so it's very difficult for me to find comfortable shoes. Brick-and-mortar discount or warehouse stores virtually never have my size, and specialty retailers are far too costly. While 6pm might be an "outlet" store, they did happen to carry a nice-looking pair of New Balance athletic shoes in my size at a bargain price. My order was processed promptly and shipped quickly. The shoes were brand new in their original box and fit perfectly. The $6.95 standard shipping fee on a $30 pair of shoes struck me as a bit steep, but that's only a minor complaint. It seems that the majority of the negative reviews for this retailer are from people who have attempted to deal with their customer service. As long as you know exactly what you need or are looking for, I don't think 6pm is a bad place to shop.

I ordered a large-capacity SD card from B&H. It shipped quickly and arrived on schedule. I ended up not actually needing it, so I requested a return. The company responded promptly and professionally. My refund was processed within one business day of them receiving the item at their warehouse. Best of all, I was not assessed any sort of restocking fee. While I did not end up keeping what I ordered, I am still very satisfied with B&H and will most definitely order from them again.

My order for a Nikon point-and-shoot camera was processed and shipped quickly. Pricing was fair, especially since the company included a free 16 GB SD card. I received the camera (full US packaging) and memory card in a short time with no drama and no solicitation to call them for an up-sell. I'm very satisfied with the transaction and will definitely consider shopping here again.

Planet Shoes was one of the few places that carried a specific style of Bostonian shoe I wanted in the size I needed. Their pricing was fair, and a discount code brought the cost down even more. I received an order confirmation right away, and the order took a couple days to process and ship. Unfortunately, I didn't hear a peep out of Planet Shoes after that initial confirmation e-mail. The shoes just showed up a little more than a week after placing the order with no shipment notification or tracking number. The return address on the shipping label showed that the shoes were dispatched directly from Bostonian, so Planet Shoes is essentially a drop-shipper. Ordering from such places is always a gamble. You can snag some great deals, but your preferred deity help you if you have a problem. Everything worked out OK in this case, but in the future I'll probably shop elsewhere, even if I have to pay a bit more.

Well.ca had the medication I needed in stock and ready to ship. The price was a bit higher than I expected, but ordering enough for free shipping plus a promo code discount brought the cost down a bit. Since I had no luck finding this medication anywhere in the US (both in stores and online), I was stuck. Well.ca shipped my order promptly, it was packed securely, and arrived earlier than expected.

I broke a couple components on my MSI notebook. I needed a bottom-door assembly as well as an optical-drive bezel. RK had the bezel in stock and was able to special order the door from MSI. Since the door assembly was not part of the company's inventory, I had to place my order by phone. This was OK, except that I never received any sort of confirmation e-mail. The package arrived on time, but when I opened the box, it smelled like someone smoked a pack of cigarettes inside it. RK says it might be a result of the packing materials they use, and the smell went away after I aired out the parts for a few hours. The company promises they will look into this, and hopefully they will find a solution. Regardless, RK Computers delivered what they promised, and you can't ask for more.

My order of a USB 3.0 Expresscard adapter was processed and shipped promptly. The item arrived in good condition; it was probably over-packed in a large box with lots of peanuts. You can't really fault them for that, though. Unfortunately, I needed to return the item because it was simply too bulky to be practical for my needs. I was able to get an RMA, and the credit was processed within 48 hours of them receiving the package. I do have a couple small complaints regarding the RMA process. First, it's extremely difficult to find the RMA request form on their web site. It took several solid minutes of digging to find it. Second, I received no notification that Directron received the package and issued the credit. I had to look on my credit card statement to see that information. Those issues aside, I would probably shop here again if they had the best price on whatever items I need.

I can't say enough good things about GenTech/1toppc. The MSI notebook I ordered was originally configured with a solid-state disk (SSD) and traditional hard drive with no optical drive. Before my system was built, Ken contacted me to find out if that was how I really wanted the machine built because the hard drive adapter that would replace the DVD burner was not a stock MSI part. Thus, with the second hard drive, the notebook might look a little strange with everything in place. After some consideration, I elected to go with the standard single hard drive/DVD burner configuration. Ken saved me about $300 off the already low price for the system. Once we had this straightened out, the machine was built and shipped in two days. It performs exceptionally well in games and other applications. I'm very satisfied with the notebook and doubly happy with the service from GenTech.

I took a chance and ordered a small Belkin 3 outlet/2 USB surge protector when it was on sale as a "deal of the day." My order was processed and shipped quickly. They get points off, though, for missing the arrival date, but it wasn't a huge deal considering the item was only $8. I certainly won't buy a computer from Dell, but this ordering experience hasn't completely turned me off from buying an accessory from them--provided the price is right, of course.

I ordered a USB dual-band wireless network adapter from this merchant. My order was processed and shipped the same day, which is always a good thing. Though I had not heard of the EnGenius brand before, the adapter was of excellent quality at a price far less than comparable items from the big-name brands sold at other online and big-box retailers.

My order was placed through this retailer's Amazon Marketplace operation. They were one of the few places that had the Asus Xonar DS sound card in stock and were, at the time, the cheapest price. I elected to order from them, as I had some Amazon credit to use. My order was processed, shipped, and received within Amazon's stated time frame. Two big strikes, however: 1) They use UPS Mail Innovations, which combines the worst aspects of UPS and the USPS. 2) For packaging, all they did was stuff the sound card box into a large bubble envelope. I have no problem with bubble mailers for DVDs and such, but for a sensitive piece of computer hardware it's unacceptable. To add insult to injury, the shipping charge was nearly $8. Fortunately, the card was not damaged, but I will not conduct any further business with this seller.

While this store is not the cheapest for console mods/accessories, you get what you pay in terms of service. Order processing and shipping was very fast, and the XCM Cross Battle Adapter I bought works great. Extreme-mods is a (relatively) local business, and I always prefer to support such operations. As such, I will definitely shop here again.

I purchased a new pair of winter boots from this store. My order was processed and shipped the same day. The boots were received in good condition, and with shipping, I saved almost 45 percent off the retail price. While I don't do much shopping for outdoor gear, I will certainly consider Sierra Trading Post when the need for such purchases arises.
