Excerpt from BBB:
We rate this company as having an unsatisfactory business performance record based on the company's failure to eliminate the cause of their complaints. Complainants allege they receive defective merchandise, incomplete orders, or experience other delivery related problems. Some customers complain they receive incorrect merchandise in their orders, and are forced to pay the 20% restocking fee imposed by the company to exchange the item. Other customers claim bait and switch tactics are used to sell lower quality items at higher prices, or they experience warranty claim problems. The company responds to most complaints by making adjustments or defending their company policies. Other complaints are closed as unresolved, meaning the complainants are not satisfied with the company's response. A few complaints remain unanswered. We advise careful evaluation of the company's technical assistance, servicing, and refund and exchange policies prior to ordering products. In most cases, purchasers ship computers back to the seller at their own cost and may experience delays in having repairs performed. Some companies have in house service departments, others use authorized repair facilities. Make sure warranty term disclosures are provided before making a buying decision. Using an unauthorized repair facility may void your manufacturer warranty. The Better Business Bureau does not endorse, recommend or disapprove of any product, service or company.
I filed a complaint with the BBB regarding these guys, but what I really think would help is contacting Micron. I seriously doubt Micron will take the trademark infringement lightly, which is what is happening here (beside the blatent fraud to BUYAIB customers).
Please CC your complaint regarding this company to The DOG at Maximum PC at watchdog@maximumpc.com
This Company is blatantly committing FRAUD. Selling an inferior product disguised as Micron PC2700 333MHz RAM. What is actually delivered is PC 2100 RAM with a heatspreader disguising the fraud.
Again, please let the Dog know so we expose this Company once and for all, and hey(!), maybe actually get what we paid for!!!
