4/5

I ordered a Westinghouse 37w3 from BuyDig on February 11. It was listed as 'in stock' on their site, with the statement "usually ships within 1-2 business days". I received a confirmation email for my order, and a promise of another email once it shipped. I waited a week for this second confirmation email, after which I emailed to ask what was going on. I called the 800 number listed on their site at 2pm on a Friday, but a recording told me that they weren't taking calls.
On Sunday, I received an email from Wendy, who told me that "the item" was backordered and would be shipped within 5-10 business days. I looked at their site, and it was still listed as "In Stock. Usually Ships in 1-2 Business Days".
I'm not in a huge rush, but for a big purchase like this, trust is very important, and if I can't trust them to get the most fundamental bit of information correct, then how could I trust that they would get the rest of the transaction right, or do the right thing if something went wrong?
On the plus side, they didn't charge me for the order, and they were consistent and polite about responding to my email inquiries (though there was about a day between each inquiry and their response).
Update: I received a call from Maurice at BuyDig on February 23. He apologized for the problem, and offered to overnight the TV to me for my trouble. Unfortunately I'd already taken delivery from another vendor, so he instead said he'd send me a calibration DVD. That was a nice touch, and I appreciate his concern for my experience.
