2/5

At first I was very happy with the deals that BMG offers, even though shipping is slow. I also returned an unwanted feature selection without any hassels (I wouldn't trust these guys enough to let them keep my credit card on file though). However, I still hadn't fulfilled my membership agreement a few months after I joined, so they sent me an email saying that if I ordered one CD using a certain promotional code, I could fulfill my membership agreement and also get buy one get three free on that order. So, I enter the code, purchase a CD, pick out three free ones, then redeem two of the four remaining CDs from the newly fulfilled membership agreement. The catch is, they automatically give you 10% off your first order, so that CD didn't fulfill my membership agreement (it's not at regular club price). Then, they ship me two CDs and charge me $20, when I was expecting to get three free selections with my order of one CD, and tell me that they can't send the other 4 until I fulfill the membership agreement, even though two should have been covered by the CD I just bought. So, I email customer service (there doesn't seem to be a phone number for them) and they send back an email basically saying that it is my fault for not ordering my free selections at the time of purchase but they'll do me a favor and let me order them anyway, just this once. To do this though, I have to respond to the customer service email or send another message through their order and billing issues page, which all seems a little shady. Who knows if I can get the CDs. Furthermore, I wanted this month's featured selection, fulfill my membership agreement, and be done with them, but I realized that there is no way to make a featured selection full price. Also a trick since that is the first thing that people are likely to purchase and they discount it by about $2. If you're like me and you join just to get the free CDs, be very sure that you aren't getting discounted anything on the first CD you buy.
