RCBS
Rating 2/10 1/5
modified review posted Apr-21-2013

Since it has lately gotten absolutely crazy to order reloading supplies and dies, I decided to order a set of 223 Remington SB dies directly from RCBS, since I saw they had a web store. I made the order on January 14, 2013 and got confirmation on the order with all my pertinent information on the order confirmation. Since reloading dies in 223 Remington caliber are very scarce right now, from both retail and online stores such as your local gun shop or MidwayUSA, I figured that I would have a better chance of getting my die set sooner by ordering directly from RCBS. After a month went by with no contact whatsoever by RCBS, I went to their website and used their "Ask RCBS" form in inquire about my order (February 10, 2013 to be exact). On February 15, 2013 I received an email reply stating "Dies have been allocated to your order and should be shipped with a couple of days....." (direct quote from reply). Since the reply said they would be shipping within a few days, I didn't follow up with any inquiries until February 22, 2013, when I again used their "Ask RCBS" form to inquire about my order once again. I received the next reply on March 2, 2013 which stated "The product you ordered has been allocated to your order. That means that the shipping department has received the product from the production department and they have allocated it to your order. After your product is allocated the shipping department needs to pick and pack your order and this can take a week or so because the shipping department is way behind due to the volume of orders we have received. Thank you for your patience. Have a great day!". So again I waited until the end of March with no order being sent to me, then decided to call RCBS up and try to talk with someone there on what the holdup was on my order. After several tries and a 45 minute wait, I was able to get to talk to a man there who told me that they were backed up on orders, but that my die set should be shipping real soon. Again I waited and in the meantime I was able to procure a 223 Remington die set made by another manufacturer. At that point I would have still been agreeable to receive my RCBS SB die order, until around April 17, when I saw that MidwayUSA had received a shipment of this die set but still hadn't gotten anything from RCBS myself. I then emailed them to cancel my order and credit my credit card back and the reply I received back shocked the heck out of me. They cancelled my order, but the reply also stated that their web store had deleted my name and shipping information (but not my credit card evidently) when it took the order so they couldn't fulfill my order. Seeing as how I had contacted them repeatedly about my order and they gave me no indication that their web store had lost all my information, I decided to register their web store here at RR to warn other people not to buy directly from RCBS. They make good products, but order from someone like MidwayUSA or buy from your local gun shop if you want their products. Their web store is a broken joke and they string you along for no good reason. They also didn't make any offer of a discount on their (premium) pricing for keeping the order active or offer any other sort of compensation to try to make up for their total ineptitude on handling my order either.

Overall, a good transaction. There was a delay in filling my order, as well as some missed communications between us, but it worked out well in the end. The pistol I ordered from Kentucky Gun was delayed because Sig Sauer sent the wrong model (.40 S&W instead of 9 MM), which Kentucky Gun found when going to fill my order. That is where the communications problem started. They called my house and left a message on the answering machine, but I work on drilling rigs offshore in the Gulf of Mexico and was on the rig for 2 weeks at this time. My wife got the message that Kentucky Gun left, but wasn't able to convey their message to me to where I understood what was going on. I tried finding out info about this order by email, but the answers I got back didn't pinpoint the problem with filling my order. Finally I went and used the business satellite phone here on the rig (a big no-no during business hours normally) and called them and got a little more info, but it still wasn't made totally clear at this time to me about the mixup on pistol models by Sig Sauer to them, but they went and filled my order then because they got things straightened out between Sig Sauer and KyGunCo by then. The pistol did ship the day after the call and my FFL holder received the pistol within a few days. I would do business again with Kentucky Gun Company, as they did fill my order once they got the correct model pistol in from Sig Sauer and the pistol was NIB and in great shape. The one thing I would like to see Kentucky Gun Co. improve on is communication by email, since that is my main form of communication while here at work on the rig, since it's kind of hard to use the business sat phone during the day. But in no way am I displeased with their service or the product they shipped me.

My first time to order from PartsTree.com and it won't be my last either. They had a good selection of the parts I needed for my chain saw which I needed to fix and I also checked and it looks like they carry many parts for my weed eater and lawn mowers too. They handled the order in an expeditious manner and shipped quickly and well packed. Email alerts as to the status of my order were very good also. Pricing is also pretty good and shipping costs weren't unreasonable.

This company has the poorest support I have ever dealt with. I placed my order on 8/8/12 for a T530 and they sent me the order acknowledgement and invoice right away, which had an estimated ship date on it of 8/15/12. After not receiving any update on shipping by 8/16/12 or even having their website link to check order status updated, I tried calling them to find out the status of my order. After waiting over 2 hours for a human to answer my call, the battery in my cell phone went dead and I lost the call. I then initiated an email to websales@lenovo.com, telling them what poor customer support they had and to just cancel my order because I didn't want to have to deal with a bunch of BS artists that don't support the products they sell and that if necessary I would dispute any return charges for cancelling the order with my credit card company. About 24 hours later, I had a reply back from websales asking me to keep the computer and that they would give me 10% off if I kept it. Also, around the time of receiving the reply from websales, I got notice that my T530 had finally shipped (2 days late on the notice) and it was enroute to me. So I replied back saying I would keep the computer and to give me the extra 10% discount. The reply back I got from websales stated "With regards to your query, We would like to inform you that the request has been filed and it takes 2 business for the approval and 3 to 5 business for the credit to be posted back on your account.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused." That reply was dated 8/22/12. I still have not received the credit back on my credit card and when I called to ask what was up on this issue, after fighting through their damned computer system answering junk I was shuffled around until I finally got a service rep that plain just hung up on me. That happened the day before I had to leave to go work in a remote location with no ready phone access to put up with the indeterminate waits for a rep, just to get hung up on again. At no time was I rude or used offensive language when I did get an actual person with Lenovo by phone.

So, not only does their customer support suck, but they are bald faced liars too, when it comes to offering money back because of their poor support. The computer itself is decent, but I wouldn't buy another Lenovo product if they were the last company left making computers. So, buyer be well aware that you are screwed if you need any support on your Lenovo product if you decide to buy one after reading all the negative reviews here. I just wish I had looked at their review record here before ordering!

After looking around quite a bit on the web, Norman Camera had the best price for a Pelican 1550 case that actually had them in stock. The website was pretty easy to navigate and placing the order was straightforward and with no problems. The order was filled and shipped the next business day and the free shipping delivery was by FedEx. All-in-all, a pleasant shopping experience with them and I would buy from them in the future. It also didn't hurt them a bit that they show consistently high ratings here on Resellerratings and the few reviews that were low rated looked to me to be written by people with unrealistic expectations for online shopping or with an axe to grind with Norman Camera.

My first order with this company (under any of the names it's gone by) and I am satisfied with my ordering experience with them. They processed and shipped my order in a reasonable amount of time and the package came in adequately packaged and undamaged. I will use them in the future if the pricing is right.

One thing I do think they could do to improve the buying experience would be to make it a bit easier to find product you are looking for on their website, but that just might be me being so used to the layout at Newegg too.

I ordered some of the Lamptron hose clamps. They had a decent price on them and had cheaper shipping than the competition. Order was processed quickly and packaging was decent. I would order from them again if their pricing is in line with the stores I regularly shop at,

I was looking for a Pelican SabreLite 2020 Recoil LED flashlight and these people had about the best price around and free shipping to boot. Their website was pretty easy to navigate and the ordering process was not complicated. They processed the order extremely quickly and shipped the same day I placed my order. The package arrived in a timely manner and was well packaged. All in all a very pleasant shopping experience with OpticsPlanet and I would shop there again in the future.

Great company to do business with here. My orders with them have been handled professionally, processed and shipped quickly and the packages have been well packed. This is another cooling specialist vendor that is definitely on my "go to" list.

I had looked at these cases for quite a while and decided to plurge and buy the U2-UFO model in white powder coat and with the EATX motherboard tray. The shipping time wasn't unduly long and the case was well manufactured, with no problems being encountered while putting the case together. I had no problems installing all of my watercooling gear in the case or mounting the radiators, but did run into some problems with getting my video card to fit into their motherboard tray properly. I was able to get it mounted properly after taking a knife and carefully shaving the paint out of the slots that the video card tails slip into when mounting it. The case is a dream to work with and I really appreciate the construction quality.

However, I do have a few things I want to ding both the case and also support on. On the case side, I find that for the amount of money spent on this case it is a shame that they don't include either a case speaker or a couple of front mount USB ports. In fact, they don't even offer a panel with front mount USB ports on their website or an option for them on the front panel built into the front panel. And I find it totally ridiculous that they don't include a simple case speaker with a case that costs well over $300 and they also don't even offer a case speaker as an option to buy on their website. Not even one of those cheap little mini speakers that are mounted on the plug that connects the mini speaker to the mobo that I've seen included with $30 tin can cases. But overall it was a positive buying experience with Mountain Mods.

And that brings up the support side, which in my case was pretty good until the last time I tried to have communications with them. During the buying phase I had excellent service from Mountain Mods both by telephone and by email. But after I had bought the case and found that it didn't include the case speaker, I emailed them asking if they knew of a place that sold them. I never got any answer back from on this issue. No communication at all. It's like they didn't want to help out their customer after they had made a sale. Overall, a rather mixed bag, communication-wise for me.

I was looking for a 120 X 38 mm Delta 3 blade case fan and googled these folks up. I checked their store and they had the fan in stock. After checking their rating here I went ahead and placed my order for the fan. The order was filled and shipped promptly. I received the fan today in good shape and well packaged. I would definitely do business with them again if they have what I need and are priced competitively.

First order I have placed with this highly rated vendor. The order process went well. The packing and shipping process also went well and with my order arriving in a timely fashion and with no damage. The box the order came in was well packed. I was kept informed throughout the order process via email on the progress of my order.

The only beef I have with dealing with Jab-Tech concerns their website performance. Their website loads and updates slow for me. The website's layout and navigation are fine, but the website performance is slow for me. Maybe it has to do with the fact that I'm on satellite broadband though, but I don't have these performance problems with other company websites like Newegg or Sidewindercomputers. Other than that, this is a good company to deal with and I will use them in the future if they have what I need at a competitive price.

UPDATE 1/28/08: Just ran across my rating of this vendor and now their website's performance is much better. Either they upgraded their webserver or my sat broadband is working better. ;)

Great place to do business with here.

I was looking for a Pelican SuperSabrelight 2000 waterproof, explosionproof flashlight for work. I found that LeisurePro had this flashlight at a good price with reasonable costs on shipping. The order process went smoothly and the next day after placing the order I received an email stating that my order had shipped. I received the order in a decent time frame and the order was well padded and secure in the shipping box. I would buy from this store again.

I was looking for an online shop that sold lawn tractor tires and ran across these folks. I ordered 2 front tires for my lawn tractor from them. They had reasonable prices and their shipping wasn't outrageous either. The ordering process went well and they shipped the tires to me quickly. If you are looking for tires for a lawnmower or lawn tractor, these people are a good start to look at.

After having bought Dell's for my last 2 notebook computers and getting thoroughly disgusted dealing with their foreign tech support, I decided to try out a smaller company that sells notebook computers and has excellent American tech support that you can understand. Powernotebooks was highly recommended by a fellow member of the Short-Media forums to me so I decided to check them out. When I called them, Ron was extremely helpful in helping me choose the options for my PowerPro M 5:6 FORCE notebook and said that they could deliver on an accelerated schedule also. They fully lived up to the delivery schedule and I've been very satisfied with my purchase from them. They really do live up to their high rating here; I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a good notebook with stellar support from the company selling them. Also, their prices were very good and I really appreciated the fact that I could order my notebook without an installed operating system, letting me save more money by being able to buy a Microsoft XP Pro liscense from someone else since I already have 2 OEM XP Pro disks and saving me around $50.
