I purchased Julbo Sherpa Mountaineering Glasses (approx. cost $40)as a gift, but the recipient got two pair, so I requested a return authorization, and I sent them back. They had only been out of their case for about 30 seconds when the gift was opened. After I returned them, I was told that there would be a $10.00 "cleaning" charge because of a "smudge" on the glasses. Despite my protestations and after being informed that they would be resold as NEW, the charge was subtracted from my refund. They insisted that it took three specialists and a "machine" to clean them! I wear prescription lenses, and, when my glasses get a "smudge," I have a microfiber cloth from my optometrist that removes it in about 5 seconds every time. I manage to do it alone and without any specialized equipment. Since I know the condition of the glasses I sent back was identical to the condition I received them, this is obviously a rip-off. In the end, I paid for shipping the glasses in both directions, plus the $10 charge (a total of almost $18.00) and I have nothing to show for it. CC Outdoor Store is out not one cent, since they will just sell them as "new" to someone else. Not nice!

I won't be doing business with these folks again. and I will steer my mountaineering friends away from this store for its deceptive and unethical practices. Shop elsewhere!

AVOID!

WAY overpriced compared to competitors, cheap-looking products, and very unhelpful customer "service." I've used several photobook companies, and this one is the WORST BY FAR. For $50 at blurb, I got the most amazing product (and excellent customer service when I (yes, I) made a mistake. PhotoBin misrepresented the product I purchased, then, when I called them on it, told me to buzz off. They had my money, and I had no recourse. AVOID this company and its product..
