“Overall, I was very satisfied with my order from Cowboom. The item I purchased was listed as used in acceptable condition with lots of scratches on it. However, when I received it, it didn't look like it had been used at all. In fact, the protective plastic film was still on and not scratches to be found. The item arrived with all accessories that were in the listing.

The only small issue I had is that it took a few days to get the order shipped and then the expected 3 or 4 days to reach me making the total shipping time over a week. Since it wasn't time sensitive for me it wasn't a problem in this instance.”

“I was in the market for several natural products and found that on a couple of them, Vitacost had the lowest price that I could find in my quick searching on the web. Given their terrible rating on here, I was a little leery of ordering from them, but decided to roll the dice.

I ordered the cheaper products and threw in a couple that were the same price as everywhere else online to save on shipping.

A few days later, I get a notice from Vitacost that they have shipped my whole order, except for the items that initially made me risk shopping with them. They gave me an estimated shipping date 2 weeks out for those items since they were back-ordered. Since I didn't need them right away, I was fine with that date.

During this two weeks, I checked the website several times and the items always showed as "In stock", nothing ever indicated that they were back-ordered. A little more than weeks later, I called them up to ask the status of my back-ordered items. The customer service person took forever and finally informed me that the items from my order in question had been canceled. When I checked the website, the items still showed as in stock but were now 10-20% more expensive.

Luckily they hadn't charged me for the items they canceled so there wasn't any issue getting my money back from them.

Anyway, Vitacost either has a terrible inventory system, shady business practices or both. I'd advise to steer clear and look for less sketchy alternatives like iherb or Swansons.”

“I placed an order for several different items from Swansons. Their price was as low as anywhere else for the non Swansons brand items I purchased and way lower than comparable ones for their own in house brand. I asked customer service some product questions before ordering and they were able to answer all of them reasonably quickly and with answers I liked, so I decided to place my order. It couldn't be any worse than Vitacost.

The order arrived quickly and well packed. Overall, I've had great experiences with them and will definitely be buying from them in the future.”

“I was in the market for a CPU cooler (Megahalems), 2 fans (GTs) and some TIM from this site since they had the lowest price that I could find on the web (by quite a bit). I checked this site beforehand and saw that there were only a few reviews, all of which were positive, so I decided to go ahead and give them a try.

I ordered the items and got a confirmation email right away. The order arrived quickly and well packaged. Overall, the transaction went through without a hitch. I would definitely use this store again.”

“I've ordered many things from Amazon in the past and after my latest purchase figured I should give them a review.

I ordered a dril/impact driver kit that was the lowest price around (15-20% lower than elsewhere not to mention no tax) and as a free bonus came with a bit tip holder. I chose super saver shipping.

I received confirmation of the order right away (19th) and the next day, notice that the drill kit had shipped without the free bonus. I received the combo on the 22nd. Two days later I received the free bonus.

I was amazed with how fast they turned around my order and how fast it arrived considering I chose the super saver option. Also, I've ordered many other things from them and the only time I had a problem they took care of it (I actually ended up getting the item for free with the credit they gave to my account). So overall, Amazon is one of the places I feel can trust (although I've heard some horror stories about the marketplace.)”

“The whole order for my 42" LCD TV went great. I ordered on the 6th in the evening and the order shipped out on Friday. I received my TV yesterday. It was delivered and despite using their free threshold shipping the TV was brought up 2 flight of stairs to my apartment by the delivery men. The TV was in perfect condition. Overall, very happy with the process since the cost of the TV was a couple hundred dollars less than anywhere else.”

“I was a little leary about ordering from them since they are a fairly new company, but I decided to anyway after reading a little a boardgamegeeks.com. Anyway, I placed my order on Sunday night and got prompt order confirmation. They packaged and shipped my order the on Monday and it arrived Thursday much to my surprise since I chose their basic shipping.

They have low prices and a good inventory and my emails with their customer service were answered promptly and well. Couldn't ask for anything more!”

“I ordered on 9/1/2006 from several sites including Ewiz. All the sites used the same shipper (UPS) and I received the orders from the other two places 9/8/2006 (in california as well) and received this one on 9/12/2006.

I am waiting on a second order that I placed to be able to test the PS.

Overall, their prices were quite a bit lower than everyone else (although their huge shipping charges offset this quite a bit) and they carry some lines like Enhance PSUs that aren't carried by other reputable retailers.

UPDATE: Both the mobo and PSU were fine when I tested them.”

“My video card came fast and was packaged well. What more can you ask for?

Haven't tested it out yet as I am still waiting for the motherboard from another so I will update when I've tested it.

UPDATE: Just finished testing the video card and it is working fine. Overall a great experience.”

“I purchased a refurb x800xl for my ageing AGP system since they had a great price. It shipped out promptly and got here just fine. However, I determined it was DOA after testing it for a bit. I called the customer service and was sent a shipping label and an RMA number later that night.

I was going to be out of town for the next week so I asked them to delay shipment for the replacement so that I'd be here when it arrived. The card got there promptly and the new order was placed. They sent out the replacement the day I had asked them to. The new card got here and has worked perfectly.

Overall, it was a good ordering experience especially considering the RMA.

“I ordered three lonely planet books from these guys and they sent a Olsen's Twin movie and two kid pop CDs. I called their "customer service" department up and they told me that my real order was still on its way and that they would send me return shipment labels in four business days. After waiting four business days for this shipment and for the labels, I realized they weren't coming so I called them up again. This time they told me that they had sent a new shipment but somehow didn't have the tracking number for it and that they would manually send me the return labels right then. After waiting two more days I called them back and was informed by the CSR that they hadn't resent my order and that they wouldn't send it until they had received the stuff that they mistakenly sent me back. I then cancelled my order (as I should have done long ago) and am still waiting for them to send the labels as they said they would. They also told be that they wouldn't remove the charges from my credit card until they had received the order that they had mistakenly sent to me.

Anyway, I advise staying away from this poorly runs/shady company. I know I'll never shop there again. I'll also remember to check resellerratings before buying from somewhere even if I'm only buying books.

After over two months of hasseling them I finally got refunded... I wonder if there's anyway I can charge interest on the money that they borrowed from me for so long... Anyway, their CSRs never seem to know what is going on. Every time I called they spent 10 mins looking up the account and must not have had any luck or no one writes anything down, because every time I had to re-explain what had happened and that I just wanted my f***ing money back.

Anyway, I would heartily recommend this company to anyone I hated, other than that stay away.”

“Very bad experience. First, they sent me the worng item. Then I found out the only way to contact them is via e-mail so I had to wait a couple of days for them to respond. They told me to send the product back to one of their warehouses in Canada, so I did. I've now been waiting for a month and somehow they say that they haven't received the itme yet and that they'll refund my money when they do... Let's just say I'm glad I didn't get anything expensive from them, so i can write this off as a small loss.

Update(May 8th): After over a month since sending them the return, they sent me an e-mail this morning saying that they had jsut received my return and will refund my account within two days. I'll cross my fingers...”
