3/5

Sierra trading post is a mixed bag, on one hand you do have good deals on quality clothes/gear .. on the other you do have the fact that they will not post reviews that are truly critical of the products they are selling, forcing you to closely question and hold with higher regard even the slightest criticism that made it past their filters.
The e-mail are very spammy, often twice a day, however they do have excellent deals in them about 1/5th of the time, -- like "35% off of orders bigger than $125 w/ $2.95 shipping" (which is a good one) or 35% off of any one item in the store (which is another good one to use on items that never go on sale, like ECCO leather shoes)-- the trouble is, is that it is a game, and you end up not buying things till the right coupon shows up, and not when you want/need.
I have purchased about 11 orders from them, each over $100, literally dozens of products, and my rate of satisfaction with the products is roughly 82.5% -- most often I am unsatisfied with a product that is from a brand I do not know and bought based on reviews -- the key strategy to use with STP is to buy the brands you know are good, (Columbia, Merrell, Asics, Carhart, Hanes) and take reviews of things you don't have exp with w/a grain of salt... and you wont be disappointed.
And last but not least, for someone who is not religious, having to read through biblical quotes at checkout has always made me question whether I should support them and warrants more justification to do so, like cost & time already spent; I hope they don't take their customer base is there on faith, b/c eventually we all get tired of the games.
I know I have since placed many more orders for my clothing on Amazon than them, and for those reasons, b/c I don't have the time to game. And I have bought dozens and dozens of items, as I transitioned to whats now a 95lb loss in 8 months.. all pants, shirts, shoes and now sweaters.
