Ordered a Pioneer VSX-33 Elite online with 3-5 day shippping (which costs extra) on 1/13, received e-mail confirmation (with no receipt). Three days later 1/16 I received an e-mail that I must call to confirm my order. Called and was told that my order could only ship ground and would take 7-10 days with no indication that I would be receiving a refund on the extra shipping cost that I paid for. I mention to the sales associate that I had paid for 3-5 day shipping and he told me that it was going out "express ground". He never gave me the price total, and hurried me off the phone. Later I recieved an e-mail that my item had shipped (no receipt again), with a UPS tracking number. It was sent out regular UPS ground. I won't get it until 01/24. I feel this is a bait and switch on the shipping cost. Interstingly enough--my credit card has still not been charged so I can't see the total. Fortunately I printed the total when I placed to order on their web site. I will be extremely suprised if my order price was reduced to reflect the ground shipping cost. I suspect however that the price will either remain the same, or perhaps even increase in their favor.
