If I could give All Electronics a 12 on a scale of 10 I would do it gladly! I ordered a DVI cable and it was shipped to an old address on record. I called, informed them of the mistake, received an apology and a reshipment of the item.

I was completely happy with how it was handled, having many great experiences and deals with the interesting things these folks carry...and at prices a poor geekette can afford. Carbon steel drills that will fit a Dremel for a dollar???

I'm sitting here stunned. I have an envelope in my hand with a letter of apology for the mix-up, and a credit on my Visa for the price of the item! I didn't ask for it, Christine Jackson, All Electronics Customer Service, took it on herself to see that a customer was not only satisfied, but DELIGHTED!

This is so rare these days, when most companies try to get by with the least service that will bring them the most profit (UPS is a great example of once great customer service that went down as their profitability climbed...but that's temporary).

Buy with confidence from All Electronics.

I ordered a brushless motor and ESC through Raidentech at 3PM on a Thursday afternoon for a Friday delivery...I called prior to see if they'd rush it through...and while I was on the phone I placed the order via their online store.

The very cool salesperson (Norman) walked the order through while I was on the phone. I had a FedEx confirmation an hour later, and the order in my hands the next day.

This wasn't my first purchase from Raidentech, and after reading some of the other reviewer's experiences I was hesitant. My first order was filled the same day, and I received it 2 days later by UPS Ground, well-packed and complete.

Raidentech has definitely proven themselves to me. I hope they keep up the good work, and I'll certainly be using them in the future.

I was just reminded by a nice follow-up letter from David Neese about my first experience with Eagle (saveateagle.com)

I couldn't have had a more pleasant experience! The drive, a WD 7200 rpm 100gb drive was $69.00 with very reasonable FedEx shipping.

I received an immediate confirmation and a tracking number a few hours later.

I'll definitely be buying from Eagle in the future.

Wow.

I'd heard from a friend about Azatek, and found a 17" widescreen Fujitsu LCD monitor for 359.00.

I'm in Phoenix, so I drove to Chandler (about 20 minutes away) in a friend's car (this becomes important later) and picked one up. Nice people and an uneventful sale.

I brought the monitor home, and it was amazing...except for a stuck red pixel in the mid left of the screen.

I called the next day, and asked if they'd exchange the monitor via UPS...as the car was history.

Instead, I got the replacement monitor delivered the next day by an employee.

The replacement was flawless, obviously carefully scrutinized before I received it.

Needless to say, my experience with Azatek has been exceptional...the test of any company is how they handle problems if and when they arise, and Azatek went above and beyond...instead of arguing and hiding behind small print, they made good above and beyond.

Thanks,

A very nice experience. I messed about trying to swap an item for another for free shipping the day after I placed the order. The result was being unable to add to the order...hence, bye-bye free shipping.

In a last ditch attempt I wrote to customer service asking if there was any way to do what I attempted to do...

First nice thing was a NON-FORM reply!

"Thanks for writing to us at Amazon.com.

Unfortunately, one of your orders has already entered the shipping
process, so we are unable to fulfill your request. You should
receive an e-mail soon confirming this shipment.

I apologize if this causes you any inconvenience. In the future, we
would be happy to assist you in changing your order if your message
reaches us before the order has entered the shipping process.

I do see that your free shipping is applying to this order,
however. Please feel free to return to our website and place your
order for your saucepan. To help with the shipping on your
saucepan, I am enclosing a promotional certificate for $5.

When you redeem this certificate, please be sure to use the shopping
cart rather than ordering via 1-Click.

You will find all of the details below. Simply print this certificate or save the message on your hard drive for future reference."

So, I still got my free shipping PLUS the $5.00

I ended up buying the saucepan I wanted, plus a set of baking utensils...

This was a VERY pleasant experience!

(now to go tell about my THIRD bad experience with buy.com...perhaps I'll learn this time!)

It's nice to have a major online merchant doing it right...a thumbs up for Amazon!)

The absolute WORST service, deceptive sales practices, and robotic jacka*** customer service "bots".

I purchased a Canon A10 and ordered it "Saturday Delivery"...it came back as "Overnight". I used their online help who did nothing but ARGUE.

Stupidly, I fell for a $25.00 memory rebate with the purchase of the camera...received the rejection of the rebate from rebateshq.com as "not purchased within the required dates"...though I have the transcript of the rebate offer, and the link on my sales slip.

"Leo" the servicebot intentionally misdirected me, and finally told me to email customer service (after an hour of more arguing).

Absolutely nightmarish rip-off...and still unresolved. Buy elsewhere or be damned to horrible service...

Arrrgh...

These people are bad news. Any savings are eaten up in pumped up shipping costs. Deceptive pricing…bids “Starting at $9.00”…right…no mention of “reserve prices”. Next Day shipping means nothing when the product isn’t shipped because it’s “In Credit Processing”.

I’d used them once before, for a Sharp multifunction fax. It took 2 weeks to arrive. It doesn’t work. Didn’t even come with a starter ribbon cartridge.

Stupidly, I tried them again, this time for a 17” LCD monitor. I checked the box for Next Day shipping, and after I won the auction, uBid made it 3 Day Select. I contacted their “customer service” and got this:

Dear Margot Copeland,

Thank you for contacting uBid. We apologize for any inconvenience that
you may have experienced with Order Number B7669501.

UPS is our preferred shipper. And in this case the shipping may only be
one day in transit.

If you have any further questions, please contact us from our webform
with the following URL: http://www.ubid.com/help/topic38.asp

Sincerely,
Tyreis C.

Huh? $50.00 for what is essentially ground shipping on a 14 pound item to Arizona from California? Doesn’t matter, though, as my order has been “In Credit Processing” for two days. Next Day means I order Thursday, and won’t receive it until next week (maybe).

It’s not worth the trouble. You can get the same items with real shipping from real people from a lot of other places. I’ve asked them to cancel the order, which shouldn’t be hard as it’s tied up in “credit processing” (I now read that as “shipping delay”).

Grrrrr.

I purchased two 32x64 256mb memory modules...they turned out to be high density and wouldn't work in any of 3 computers I own.

Here's the strange part...I called them for an RMA, and they took them back, no questions asked!

This gets even better. I'm used to dealing with Fry's retail outlets in Phoenix, which are famous for making you jump through hoops when you want to return something (they've gotten better lately). I expected to have to wait a couple of statements for the credit on my card...and I had it within 7 days.

Surprise, surprise.

Best place to get something you need quickly. Their website is a bit quirky when you're trying to search for something specific, but, in all, Outpost is a place I'd recommend to a friend.

Hi,

I've ordered from Newegg on a few occasions, and it's always been a good experience. My last order was a 64mb Radeon 7000 video card, which installed without a hitch.

I've received the correct products on time, their shipping is more reasonable than most (often with special deals on 3 Day Select shipping). I sound like an ad for these guys, but in a biz where shadiness seems to be too common, it's great to be able to be able to say good things about a dealer.

I ordered 500 TDK CD-R's from buy.com that were said to be "in stock". I wrote them as to why the shipment was being delayed and received:

We apologize that the delivery of your order is taking longer than
expected and for any inconvenience this has caused. Unfortunately, due
to a setback from the manufacturer, the TDK 50PK 80MIN DATA 32X CAKEBOX
is currently on backorder. However, we have received an estimated time of arrival from our
distributor and expect your product to ship in early May. Please note
that this date is only an estimate and is subject to change. You will
receive an email once the product ships, and your credit card won't be
billed until that time.

Hmmmmm...no offers of substitution, and you'd figure a manufacturing delay wouldn't happen to something "In Stock".

Uh huh...I'm willing to wait 2 months for some CD-R's...NOT!

Robotic, impersonal answers, and a couldn't care less attitude was my first experience with trying to purchase from buy.com

Last one, too...
