Purchased a smoke detector unit from them eleven months ago. Had trouble getting a tracking number from them, which they were quick to blame on my spam filter.
Unit recently went bad, and has a three-year manufacturer warranty. Last time I needed to claim a warranty replacement on this model, the manufacturer told me to go through the dealer, so I attempted to contact Surveillant. Their web form says [sic]: "Using the form below will get you a answer in usually just a few minutes however sometimes it can take up to two full business day for a response," but that's a lie. A week later, no response. They do publish one phone number, but it goes straight to voice mail. I asked them, "Tell me how to get a warranty replacement, or if you don't do that, then just get back to me and tell me you don't do that." No response.
Obviously, they pick and choose who to answer, ignore any request that means they have to do any actual customer service, and they get away with it by ensuring that you never get to talk to an actual human being.
(Addendum: Surveillant's response below is a laugh. My review is clearly accompanied by the notation "Your Order Information: # 200856." How can they say no specific transaction is associated with this comment? And what does "authorized review" mean? What nonsense. I have the right to honestly review a vendor in any forum I choose, whether the vendor likes it or not.)
