Magnolia Audio/Video has long carried exemplary sound and video products. I have been a customer who has purchased several products from them over the past decade plus: everything from TVs to receivers, pre/pros, speakers and audio/video accessories. The best deals have always been on the closeout items and the demo or open-box units they sell. I have never been disappointed with a purchase I made from Magnolia. Their salespeople are knowledgeable and courteous, and they are willing to spend time with you in picking out a suitable product. They also let you spend long periods of time in their sound rooms auditioning products you are interested in. There is never any pressure to "close the deal" or make a decision and move on to the actual purchase. Extended warranties have been reasonably priced in the past, though they are now more expensive since Best Buy has bought the company (in addition to their stand-alone stores, there are also Magnolia showrooms in many Best Buy stores). They sell mid- to high-marquee products, so you won't find the cheap stuff Walmart, Sears, Fry's and other high-volume outlets sell. But if you want quality at a good price and the assistance of knowledgeable salespeople, I would recommend paying Magnolia a visit.

We have been Virgin Mobile customers (family of three) for over two years and have been largely satisfied with their products and service. Early problems with billing and unsolicited charges to our accounts were resolved with calls to their customer support people, always to our satisfaction. Since these early glitches, the cell phone service provided has been without fault. Coverage is good (Virgin Mobile runs on the Sprint network) and the monthly plan my son uses (mostly for unlimited texting) and the pay-as-you-go service used by my wife and me (for voice calls) are the most affordable around. For the widest available coverage at the best pricing, Virgin Mobile can't be beat.

Purchased a refurbished VIZIO 42" Class Razor LED-LCD 1080p 120Hz HDTV at Walmart.com and had it shipped for free to a nearby Walmart superstore. The HDTV was shipped promptly and arrived at the store in about a week. I was emailed when it was ready to be picked up. The box was undamaged and the HDTV like new when I got it home and set it up. I also purchased an extended 3-year warranty for the HDTV at a very reasonable price. Overall I saved several hundred dollars compared to new models being sold by Amazon.com and other discounters. The set has worked perfectly in the six months since I received it. I recommend both Vizio products and Walmart.com.

I recently purchased two Emotiva products from their website: the ERC-2 CD player and the A-100 stereo amp. The A-100 was shipped the day I ordered it and arrived promptly in good condition. The ERC-2 CD player was billed to my credit card the day I ordered it and shipped some time later. It is a new product and shipment was delayed for the latest firmware update to be installed. Emotive customer service sent me regular email updates as to the status of my ERC-2 order and also sent me the tracking number when it finally shipped. Since I wanted the CD player to have the latest firmware already installed, I didn't mind the wait, but some customers might be upset with the charge to their credit card before the product actually ships. I have not queried Emotiva customer support about this practice since it didn't matter to me and the shipment was only about two weeks late. Both products are very well made and have exceeded my expectations for build and sound quality. Based on my initial impressions, I recommend this company.

My experiences with both the Apple Store online and the one at a nearby mall have both been positive. The Apple Store online has always shipped our orders promptly and they arrived in good condition. The Apple Store employees at the mall have always been courteous and helpful (though it is usually so busy there you have to be patient until one becomes available to help you). Rebates have been mailed within a reasonable time, and the numerous Apple products we have purchased over the last two decades have never had a hardware-related problem. Apple support has been helpful with all my software and hardware questions.

I have been an Amazon customer for 10+ years and have been very pleased with their pricing, shipping promptness and responsiveness to crediting returns. My experience has also been positive with the resellers who offer products through Amazon.com. A few have been late with shipping ordered items, but generally most have shipped quickly and used good packaging. The items received have always been the items ordered and they have always arrived in good condition.

Received the item ordered promptly and it was well-packaged for shipment. Item was new and exactly what I ordered, and at a very low price. Highly recommend this merchant.
