"Very unhappy with AJ Madison. We ordered a fridge, dishwasher, range and microwave from them at first. Then we ordered two sinks. The sinks came with no problems. We then ordered a beverage fridge. Everything seemed okay until the day they were suppost to deliver the appliances (a few days before Christmas) I get a call asking for ferry fees. I know I live on an island where the only way off and on is a ferry, so I am happy to pay those charges if informed at time of purchase. I entered my zip code and calculated shipping at time of purchase and no cost. I related this to the customer service and was told that this was a ferry charge not shipping. They could not do anything about this cost. I asked about my beverage fridge which I had ordered the night before, think everything was going smoothly, and paid $99 to shipping and was told that if too would be charged $89.15 in ferry fees (only a $348). I asked to cancel that order but was told it had already shipped and could not be cancelled. Finally after several frustrating questions, I was told I could change the shipping address on the beverage fridge . Okay not ideal but okay. However I had needed my fridge, range, dishwasher and microwave because I had already taken my old ones out once I was informed the new ones were coming. I paid the $89.15 and thought I could get my appliances the next day. I know it was the holidays but AJ Madison didn't give the authorization until over a week later. I cooked christmas dinner on a gas grill outside. NOT HAPPY. Chalked it up experience and said oh well, I will never use them again. Today Jan 16 however I got a call from AJ Madison asking for my $89.15 ferry charges again. I told her is was already paid on Dec 20. She claimed they only got authorization from the credit card company and didn't charge. I have the statement the proves otherwise. Was pretty much told she was charging my card and after I proved I had already paid would get my money back but I would have to talk to billing. SO MAD NOW. I know my situation is different because of the ferry but their return policy is harsh too. If you use them make sure it is exactly what you want it could cost you money to return it to them.
