Pictureline has saved my bacon on more than one occasion. I absolutly love this company. Mostly due to the awesome employees and service that has exceeded my expectations on several occasions. Early in my career I had a shoot for a preschool downtown and had somehow forgotten my spare batteries for my Nikon DSLR and noticed that the battery I was using was almost dead. I began to worry about losing the client forever since kids were lined up non-stop. I called and the employee said he would have a battery (fully charged) for me waiting at the store for me to BORROW- just to get me out of the pinch I got myself in! I couldn't believe how helpful they were. I ended up buying the battery and have since bought a lot of equipment from them including high end cameras, flashes, stands, wacom tablets, etc. I have found their service to be outstanding EVERY time I have visited either their SLC or Draper store because they will take the time to troubleshoot issues, educate you on purchases, and make honest and straightforward recommendations. I'm converted for sure.

I typically love my experiences with GotPrint but just had a poor experience. I have printed several wedding invitations (5X7 Postcard color both sides) through them. I calibrate my monitors using Datacolor, Spyder 3, every couple weeks. This time I was disappointed to see see how dark the print turned out. It was much darker than what the online proof showed and what I typically get. Because the Bride and Groom were late deciding what they wanted I needed to rush my order. Since GotPrint didn't have a rush option for the Dull Cover with Matte Finish and my customers did not want Glossy, I was forced to get the Premium Uncoated Cover. This finish looked darker and much lower quality than what I am used to from Got Print. I was left in an awkward position where I had no time to reprint and I needed to give a discount which caused me to lose money while they were not happy with what they were sending out. I wish Got Print had a rush option for The Dull Cover with Matte Finish because I think it is a more professional looking Matte finish. My invitations had a lot of black in them but I'm not sure why all of the lighter portions printed so dark. Frustrating. BTW, I thought I would mention that Glossy has usually turned out pretty good for color.

“Hello,

I'm sorry that you were not happy with the color of your product. Are you referring to order number 2607762? If so, from the samples we have, we see that the color we printed matches the proof that you approved. We requested physical samples, but understand that you have already given away the product.

Generally, the Glossy stocks makes colors appear darker, and the matte and uncoated stocks make colors appear softer. Uncoated stocks soak in more of the color, which is why colors do not appear as dark as they would on the Glossy stock.

Regarding your suggestion for the Rush for the Dull Cover stock, we may offer this option in the future. Thanks again for your feedback.”
