I actually ordered over the phone, and I can say (after many scary moments dealing with evil Brooklyn camera stores) that it was a no hassle order and the fastest free shipping ever experienced. Ordered on thursday and recieved package via Fed Ex on Saturday!

Very happy to finally find an honest Brooklyn electronics dealer (apart from B&H and JR's Music World, this is it!)that one can actually place an online order with, without the idiotic phone calls from illegal immigrants trying to sell you everything but the kitchen sink. Quick service, good price (beat B&H Photo on my Gitzo tripod), good order tracking and status. No hidden addresses. Worthy of a good review.

Attempted to purchase a Sony Cybershot DSC F717 for $514.99 which appeared to be a decent price, and the place was one of the few Brooklyn camera shops that did not have a bad BBB rating. Placed order on Nov 23, then I was contacted by phone to "confirm" my order--and of course I got the hard sell loaded with erroneous information. He stated camera battery only lasted "30" minutes and I should purchase a spare for ~ $100 (Review sites state battery lasts >450 shots!). I declined all offers and was told camera would arrive in "7-14 days." Of course I felt as if I was dealing with Lucifer himself, so I gave them a couple of days waiting for my order to be something more than "processing" and then i got the e-mail saying it was backordered. The truth is, if you don't pay these criminals an outrageous sum for the extras, you are not going to get anything at all. CAVEAT EMPTOR!!!!

I gave a order number when I wrote this review, but this is comical, since the order was never confirmed after 48 hours. The order number was not recognized on their website, and I had to speak with 5 different individuals today to finally cancel the order. When I asked the last guy if he actually even had that order number, or knew what it was for, he said yes, a Sony television. Funny thing was it was supposed to be for a Sony Cybershot DSC F717 camera? Finally I pressed the issue, to see if they even had my credit card on file, and finally they found the real order and the credit card info, which I promptly cancelled. This was the second criminal camera shop in Brooklyn that I had try to purchase this camera from in the past 10 days. They are not even bright enough to know how to commit fraud with in a logical fashion. Don't waste your time, because that is what will happen if you order from these bozos. I'm going to Ebay!

Sierra has always been great for me. Big ticket items for way below what I had found elsewhere, with perhaps the exception of E Bay. Just purchased $1,100 Zeiss Victory II binoculars for $825 (refurbished), and this was after 6 different online camera stores tried to rip me off with false ads, and no products. Bought Koflach mountaineering boots from these guys as well for $80, when they were selling for over $200 retail.

Always had good shipping, and customer service. Happy to do business with a reputable company.

This company is apparently an absolute joke and I am very glad to have found this review board. I tried to purchase a tripod last year, and after a week, or longer I was told the item was not in stock, and could not be delivered on time. Also thought I would try them again today 4-20-04 for the purchase of some Leica binoculars that they were advertising for $400 less than normal, but I found that no phone numbers worked, and the company could not be found in directory assistance as even being in New York. CAVEAT EMPTOR
