bought the green 5mw laser from them via ebay on january 1st.
paid immediately via paypal balance, so no delay there.
withing 72 hours, a delivery confirmation number was on the item's page, showing that it was in transit with the postal service.
2 weeks later, on January 17 I contacted them via ebay asking where my item was
on January 18th they removed the tracking number that had been for 15 days, and a short time later a new tracking number appeared showing as shipped on January 18th. They still refuse to reply to my messages as of today, January 24th.
After reading their ebay feedback, it looks like they make a habit of posting FALSE TRACKING OR DELIVERY CONFIRMATION NUMBERS in order to make you believe they have great service and your item is on the way.
Many of their ebay feedbacks state that after having a tracking number posted and an order shown as "shipped" or "in transit", a customer's order will never arrive, and after THEY have to contact GEARXS about where their item is, they are told it is out of stock or backordered.
They are violating ebay's terms of use by
1- posting fake tracking numbers.
2- posting/selling items they don't have in stock.
these guys are con artists of the lowest sort, avoid them like the plague.
UPDATE, FEB 2011.
they finally DID reply to me via ebay, after I started hounding them on various deal forums (deals.woot) and filing for a refund with ebay unless they delivered my item. On Jan 25, they told me that THEY WOULD WORK WITH ME ON A RESOLUTION ONLY AFTER I EDITED OR REMOVED THE NEGATIVE FEEDBACK I'D LEFT THEM ON EBAY.
blackmail, plain & simple.
Then they told resllerratings they had no record of my transaction in an attempt to remove this posting. I had to supply resellerratings with all the transaction info.

“Sir, For Invoice number, you posted a E-Bay Case Number. Second, I have personally looked at your tracking numbers. For USPS we use Endicia.com. We show that both tracking numbers were indeed yours. Tracking number one made it to the USPS sorting, then stops. Tracking number two goes directly to you after you have made contact with us. Once you started to make false comments on Deals.Woot.com, Our CEO reached out to you to try and resolve the issue. We even offered a full refund. The only thing you did was use profanity at us. We have notified E-Bay, PayPal, and the BBB about all the comments you have made. They have ruled in our favor. In no time have we tried to black mail you.
Michael I.”
