First off, ordering a laptop built the way you want it, is very easy with R&J. The purchase process is straightforward and my laptop arrived exactly as configured. However this review is about their after sale support. R&J recently spent several days trying to sort out a system gremlin for me on the laptop I purchase from them. Definitely went above and beyond the call of duty. Would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS MERCHANT

I placed an order for some items from AmericaRX on 07/04/07. At first the website didn't seem like it processed the order correctly, and subsequent emails to ask if the order had been processed were not answered. On 07/05/07 I decided to cancel the order and called customer support directly. After a very long time, I finally got a person to cancel the order for me, as they have no ability to do this through their website. I then received an email from AmericaRX that my order had been canceled, and I had NOT been charged. When my credit card statement arrived 2 weeks later, not only had they charged me the full amount on 07/04 prior to shipping anything, they had not issued a credit in that time. I immediately contacted my credit card company to dispute the charges, and AmericaRX was notified about this via email, (their customer support voicemail was full). They apologized for the delay in issuing the refund, and wrote that they would "wait for the dispute, and then inform me". No credit issued for an order I canceled one day after placing it, which was never shipped by them, nor received by me. I'm flabbergasted..

Would not recommend Abe's.

I purchased a Samsung LN-S4096D LCD Television from Abe's about a week before Christmas. It is frustrating that before they will process your order, you have to deal with their "upsell" phone call, which for me, came 2 days after I had placed my order. Also for my order, there was no timely tracking information, (I got my tracking number email, after the TV had been delivered). I also never got a response from the main email address for Abe's, or my sales person via phone, or email, even though messages were left in all places, for someone to contact me back.

Given all of that, I suppose I would have been happy if everything proceeded correctly from there, but it didn't. The Friday before Christmas the TV arrived, making it exactly 7 business days since ordering, which would have been fine, except it turned out to NOT be the LN-S4096D, but rather the MUCH cheaper, LN-S4051D (almost 700.00USD cheaper at Abe's). After several calls stretched across several days, I was able to reach someone in the "TV" customer service department to explain the problem. That person first asked me if I wanted to keep the TV if credited the difference. When I said no, they then told me that they would have UPS pick up the TV from me, but the LN-S4096D was not in stock. I told them to have UPS come pick this TV up, and to credit my credit card in full. They told me they would do this. I also canceled a remaining item on the order, a Harmony remote, which has left me with an HDMI cable that they did ship to me, which I will keep.

Understanding that mistakes get made, although this is a pernicious one, (it would have been easy to NOT know that this is the cheaper Samsung model, had I not been specifically looking for it, and the TV itself was loosely double boxed, so I could not check the model and refuse it with UPS at the time of delivery), I am hoping that my credit card is credited in a timely manner. All in all, entirely not worth the meager savings on price that they promised, on a TV that I'm not sure they ever had in stock.. Stay away..

Purchased a customized Asus A8Js laptop from BTO Tech, and the experience was very good. I purchased an extended warranty from them, and they were able to ship the customized computer ahead of schedule. I would recommend them without reservation.They really excelled in being able to do customizations that few other resellers even offer.
