I was almost the sucker. My wife, who was shopping for the camera, had that strange feeling and was hesitent to order. I thought "Don't worry about. It looks legit." 16 credit card digits later and we got the deal of a lifetime for a Nikon DSLR3100 with all of the whistles and bells thanks to an "extended" weekend sale.
The story that follows is the same as all of these posts here - email from them to complete the order, the rude service, the upgrades, the battery that lasts only 15 minutes, the 9% insurance and the "must have" cd-rom for an additional $60. I told him I want nothing extra as I already have an identical camera with all of the accessories. That didn't fly over very well as the order was immediately cancelled and the call terminated.
Then I got nervous when I started getting phone calls from an unknown number. No voicemails were left. I traced the calls to New Jersey and deduced (unconfirmed) that they were coming from DE. I had my wife run to the bank and cancel her card immediately. I have been watching my bank account ever since.
Lesson learned: do a little checking online about the company before you buy. Duh. Had I even looked here for a second my actions would have been different.
