I found this website while looking for a hypo-allergenic belt or buckle for my husband. Not only was I able to find a handsome belt that he could cut to fit (he's thin so sometimes he has trouble finding the perfect fit), but I was able to find a product that would help with grommets on clothes, etc. that couldn't be changed. Shipping was reasonable and it got here very quickly. Their website might look a little sparse but don't worry--they are legitimate.

I have ordered numerous different products from them and their wrapping paper is the best I have ever used. It is thick, beautifully printed, and came in a big enough roll that it was the only one I had to buy for last Christmas. My family also uses their birthday/all occasion wrap as well because the quality is so good. It might be a bit pricey, but it's worth it.

Their shipping is very, very slow, though, so give yourself at least two weeks for it to get there with standard shipping.

I've never really had a problem with eBay itself, and out of over sixty transactions I've only had trouble with one seller. You do have to watch out for bootleg items but it seems like they've been trying to crack down on these. I shop on eBay occasionally, usually after I haven't been able to find something elsewhere.

I ordered a t-shirt and a water bottle and they both got here quicky, with the t-shirt getting there after the bottle but still getting there within a few days. The quality was very good too.

I've heard a lot of PayPal horror stories myself and I, for one, prefer them over submitting my CC info directly to a site. If PayPal is offered as an option, I use it. There have been a few times where someone didn't ship the item as promised (never on eBay, knock on wood) and going through PayPal and filing a complaint was the only way to get them to respond. It's just easier to go this route than calling the credit card company. I think they're a must if dealing with smaller businesses online.

I absolutely love Hello Kitty and friends and I love shopping at Sanrio every once in a while for purses, bags, and car accessories. They can be pricey, but their shipping is fast. I just wish that their free-items-with-order weren't so limited in quantity. I never seem to get my order in soon enough.

I will make this a two-tiered review. First, I will say that the Aeorgardens that this company sells are great. My mom bought one for me for Christmas and ended up getting two for herself. We love them and they come in different sizes to suit just about anyone's living space. You can grow different veggies, herbs, greens, or flowers with minimal work. It's almost foolproof if you follow the directions.

The manufacturer's web store, however, is abysmal. They sent me an e-mail ten days ago stating that if I used their standard shipping to buy my mom a small Aerogarden model that she'd wanted for her room, then delivery would be guaranteed for Mother's Day. I read the e-mail minutes after it arrived, and I thought it would be a good deal. I then checked their website and the model (ladybug) that she wanted was, according to them, in stock and ready to ship. They said to give them three days to fill the order. Guess what? Still not filled.

I e-mailed customer service and they admitted to me that their warehouse is in a different state so they have no idea what happened to the order. I guess there was no way for them to call the warehouse and ask. So, here it has been 10 days and they haven't even filled my order, so needless to say it hasn't even shipped out.

I am not really happy at this point and I plan to call them on Monday. The standard shipping on Aerogardens is free, so I'm not sure what recourse I have, but they should not have guaranteed arrival by Mother's Day if they couldn't come through.

The other Aerogardens we have were ordered from Amazon. I strongly suggest going that route.

May 11 update: I called them and that did the trick--it was put out for shipping today. The order was placed on April 28. They still have no explanation but I'm just glad it's resolved.

May 14: I finally got the order today. Everything's in good conditoin.

I first came across this company on ebay after my former favorite doll shop stopped selling the TaeYang dolls I love (and, for that matter, every other doll in the Pullip "family"). The doll got here so quickly and without a flaw. I later referred my mother to them for gift ideas for me and she reports the same thing. I am so pleased to have found another retailer for my doll collecting. I like this site even better than my previous one, and that is saying a lot. It does seem, however, that their ebay prices are higher than their website prices.

I came across Pearl River while looking for some things for my husband, who is from China. We have several Chinese markets in my area, but Pearl River still had many items that they don't. They seemed to have fixed the slow shipping times because I got my items within a week and in good condition (they were kitchen items). I love their New Year decorations so I will definitely order in the future.

I ordered a really cute wrap dress from Avenue. Between the coupon and the sale that they already had going on, I got it for a third of the price. It was true to size and looked wonderful. I haven't been to their physical store yet but I plan to soon.

One thing that annoyed me about it, though, was that they had the Postal Service deliver it but had UPS get it to the Post Office. When I went to track the package on UPS, it said it had been delivered to my home when it really had not. That's just a minor annoyance and it won't stop me from doing business with them again in the future.

I ordered a dress from them, and it turned out very nicely. It got here within a week. The only complaint I have is that the price wasn't really that good--I went to the manufacturer's online store and noticed that their prices were the same.

I have ordered a lot of things from them in the past, most notably anime DVD's. I noticed that a lot of the cases that I got from Overstock were damaged, even though the disc inside was just fine (which is most important). That's really the biggest problem I've had with them.

I've ordered from them several times and they're great for gift baskets. They ship their fruit, pears especially, just slightly underripe so they last a long time. Their prices and shipping can be a bit high, though.

Golden State Fruit is a nice alternative to Harry and David. They frequently have free shipping (especially if you order from their Amazon affiliate store) and they seem to be a little bit more "no-frills" than other fruit stores are. They always deliver when they say they will and we have loved their Golden State DeLite Fruit Club--it's the perfect size for one or two people and it's the only club where my mom liked all of the monthly selections (except the mango, which my husband ate anyway).

I have ordered from See's several times and I am so happy that I am able to get their candies for my mom (we're transplanted Californians). Delivery is always as promised even when I plan it for a future date, which is a feature that I really love because it enables me to shop far ahead of time. The best part is the build-your-own box of chocolates, so you are guaranteed to get only the ones you like. The downside to that, though, is that sometimes the system is confusing and you only have a limited number you can put in each box. Still, See's is always on my list of websites to visit for Christmas, Easter, Valentine's, etc. I have never had a problem with the products or the delivery.
