Pretty much the same thing as the other review, except no one even answers when I call. Ordered 10 days ago and charged that day. Haven't received anything, no tracking #, no shipping confirmation, 2 email, and 1 phone call with no response, including one where I said I was going to cancel the charge if they don't contact me.

FYI - www.mobilewms.com is the same company

Overpriced scammers. They will fight any ticket, regardless of the circumstances (AKA: even if it is totally justified, and you have little to no chance of getting it dismissed.) The dismissal letter they give you appears to be computer generated often with the same generic BS defense. Per there TOS and the amount of time it takes most cities to process anything, it's nearly impossible to get a refund.

Also the way they're form is set up, it's almost impossible to enter the data, EXACTLY as it appears on the ticket.

I fought one ticket and was found guilty, and was never notified by the city or by parkingticket.com. That was over 2 years ago. And the best they could do was credit towards my next ticket. Wouldn't even apply it to a ticket I recently started fighting, and credit my card for that order.

The second one I started fighting with them, their dismissal letter was pretty much word for word what another user said he received and was found guilty. I decided to just pay it and avoid the headache. If I'm going to be out the money anyway, at least I saved the shipping and the waste of my time.

If you search on Google, you will find tons of dissatisfied customers, who were found guilty and never received refunds, because the paperwork required for the refund is never received by the customer, from the city, until after the deadline, per parkingticket's TOS.

To quote another user, "They're a bunch of greedy lawyers preying on people's emotions, when they see that overpriced ticket."

Even if you win, half price of your ticket, upfront, for a form generated letter is a pretty steep.

I submitted a $50 rebate for an X2gen monitor that I purchased at ecost, back in March. According to escost customer service this site is actually run by X2gen.

They have no record of my rebate (probably lost it), and have told me that it will probably be denied if I resubmit, even though the original submission was mailed way before the deadline.

Thanks to their incompetence, I paid nearly twice as much for this monitor.

I ordered a monitor from ecost, only because of a rebate they were offering at the time. I could have bought it cheaper on another site.

Well, my rebate has been lost, and customer service is useless. They are slow to respond, and haven't helped at all. When I called they promised to send me a new copy of the rebate form so I can resubmit. It's going on a week and still no form. Also emailed them about this problem and they're solution was to log into the rebate center and put in my order #. I did this, but the only rebate that shows is one for the month of July...I need the rebate they were offering for this monitor in Feb, when I bought it. It makes no sense that when you put in an order number, they just give you that latest rebate for that product rather than the one that would be the correct rebate based on the order date.

I responded to the email, and explained this, but they didn't respond.

Granted the manufacturer probably lost the rebate, but the rebate was only being offered to ecost customers, the only reason I bought it from them. Their customer service has been useless.

I used to order from these guys all the time...BUT other sites have better prices on most items these days, customer service is a PITA to get in touch with. Couldn't even find a phone number published on the site. I actually had to Google "buy.com phone numbers" to find it.

The last 2 times I ordered they failed to put the company name on the shipping label, even though there is a company name on that address in my account. With FedEx or UPS, when shipping to a business, no company name means the package doesn't get delivered. I notified them of this error months ago last time I ordered, but it was never fixed. Today I talked to a supervisor there. She said the best she can do is call FedEx for me. Geee thanks, like I didn't already call them myself. How about fixing this MAJOR bug in your software.

Needless to say I will never order from them again. The free shipping is kind of offset by the fact that packages always arrive late, and I have to call the carrier myself to give them a company name in order to get it delivered at all.

Area 51M 5500 Great laptop, horrible support and service.

Powerful machine, great screen, lightweight.

First they held up my order for a week because the bag and a USB flash drive were back ordered! Even though all the components were in stock. In the mean time the DVD drive gets sold out, because they didn't pull the parts! Refused to upgrade my shipping or do anything for me to make up for the screw up. Then it finally ships. First of all they send it FedEx Home Delivery instead of Ground, when it was going to a business. I put the business name in when I ordered and even made sure they added that info, when I noticed it wasn't on my order status page. This cost me another few days. On top of that, the stupid bag that held up the order to begin with, shipped a day after the computer anyway!

Finally got to speak to a manager, who claimed the DVD was never in stock and that they gave me the wrong info, admitted that the bag never should have held up the order, and saw that I even called about the business name, but they screwed up on the shipping. He pretty much admitted to me that they screwed up, but it isn't their policy to do anything to compensate the customer in a situation like this. Now I'm not expecting anything huge, just a few bucks off the order or something like that. Well he takes my number and says he'll see what he can do. Said he'd call me back later that afternoon. 2 weeks and still no call!

Placed order on Monday afternoon. I'm right in NJ, so figured I'd get it by the end of the week. In fact ordered something for another merchant only a few block from these guys, on Monday night, shipped ground and got it on Wed.

No confirmation.
No one answering their 800 or their local number.
(Called all times of day Mon - Thur.)
No response to my emails.

At least they didn't charge my card. Cancelled the order and called my credit card company to alert them, in case they try to charge me.

The only camera store in NYC to trust...well besides B&H.

I have bought all the gear I own now from these guys (Canon EOS 10D, Tamron zoom lens, Sigma wide angle zoom, Sea and Sea MX 10 and strobe). I think I may have even bought my original Sony digital from them.

Every time I'm shopping for photo gear I check Cnet. Every time there is a BIG list of stores with lower prices. Every time I look those stores up either here or at the BBB. Every time I see a ton of "Gray Market", "Bait and Switch", "Late Shipping", "Overcharged", "Order Cancelled, but card still charged", etc. comments.

I'm begining to think these guys are the only camera store in NY that isn't a fraud.

Well I'm shopping for a DV cam now, and take one guess where I'm buying it.
