Ordered an I/O shield for a motherboard I won off of Ebay. It arrived today pretty quick shipping for "free", in good shape and well packed. It was they're #1 i/o shield. it comes very close to fitting an ECS K7S5a pro board. and will be perfect after some attention from my dremel.

They sent the standard email confirmation. Everything went well. This is a good trustworthy merchant as far as I am concerned and I'll probably use them again.

Ordered 2 ATX cases from them on the 8th for a total of $36 shipped. They arrived quickly, on the 14th and in good shape with plenty of hardware. In the case of the more complicated case it included detailed instructions on assembly. Both cases were in new condition(or so close to new condition I couldn't tell).

They sent email confirmation for the order and a timely Fedex tracking number.

I Ordered an ECS K7S7AG motherboard from their website. They emailed me the usual copy of the invoice, but then canceled the order with no followup email. I had to check the status on their site to find that the order was canceled and I had to call them to find out it was because the motherboard was out of stock and discontinued despite being listed as available on their website.

They have told me that my credit card will be credited within two days. I'll update the review if it isn't. Due to the lack of up to date inventory listing on their website I guess I will stick with better known stores like Newegg and directron from now on.

update. 7/28 my credit card was refunded on 7/27/04. still I would aim for online vendors that keep their inventories up to date. However I'd now rate my experience slightly higher.

I ordered a refurbished HP 5300C scanner(web listing actually said "new", but I knew ahead of time by price it was a factory refurb) and a Firewire card. They came in the usual amount of time that UPS ground takes to deliver; i.e. a week. Everything is in good working order. They sent out a confirmation email and a tracking number in a reasonable amount of time. Overall I'd say it was a good experience for me.

The only gripe I'd have is the firewire card(naked except for bubblewrap and antistatic bag) was just stuck inside the Scanner box, taped back up and the scanner box was wrapped in a bigger box sans additional packing. However, there was no damage from Oops(err I mean UPS) so it turned out okay anyways.

I ordered an 80Gig Seagate Barracuda IV drive at 11PM on Thursday the 13th. It arrived on Saturday the 15th at 1PM and that was with Fedex Residential Ground. That's pretty decent from Indianapolis to Nashville. Their pre-tax price is equal or better than most online merchants and their reliability is second to none.

I was somewhat concerned when their website showed my order shipping on the 20th, but I figure they post a conservative ship date so that if it gets delayed they don't look as bad as someone who would post an early ship date. However they emailed my tracking number and I was able to follow fedex's tracking which had an accurate delivery date of course.

About they only negative is that their initial price total had too much sales tax listed, but that was corrected by the time they emailed my invoice and my credit card was charged the proper amount. In the past I would have complained about being charged sales tax for an out of state order, but with the new laws and agreements that go into effect at the end of this month everybody in the U.S. will be charging sales tax.

Definitely everybit as good a transaction as I expected from Insight.

Ordered two 256MB PC2100 RAM's for a system I'm building on Friday at 3AM Received them Tuesday at 10AM with a free T-shirt packed in a HUGE(24"x12"x6") box. There was a Large size 11 boot print on the box where a FedEX employee had apparently stepped on the box to get to another box. Because of New Egg's fantastic packing the RAM was unharmed...as was the T-shirt. A great company with excellent policies and highly competitive prices.

Ordered a Razer Boomslang mouse from them for $41 including shipping. A pretty decent deal for a 1000 dpi mouse. It arrived in the expected amount of time in new condition exactly as promised. I'm probably ordering a couple more just to have and give for gifts. All in all an excellent online transaction.

Ordered a pair of leather mousepads for gifts for friends of mine. They were 33% cheaper than retail stores in my area even with the shipping. They shipped them quickly from two different locations with only the one low shipping charge.

They were well packed and exactly as ordered. I'll definitely do business with the again.

I bought a CD-R/RW drive(samsung sw-240) from them and it has worked great.

The shopping experience was very good. I spent a good part of the afternoon just walking around looking at stuff like I usually do in Electronics stores. I was approached several times by sales people who answered any questions about whatever I was holding at the time. Even the Local Cable Company sales rep who was in the store hawking Cable internet broadband offered useful opinions on the various CD-R/RW drives I was looking at.

I bought a Samsung SW-240 CD-R/RW drive to replace my recently dead CD-Rom drive. Installation was a breeze perhaps because of or maybe inspite of the driver being a generic windows driver. Everything has worked perfectly so far I've burned both Data and Audio disks. The included Software(Roxio Basic) is intuitive and very functional.

I originally ordered a CPU from them in February of 2000 then later ordered a memory upgrade. Both purchases went well and their delivery was ontime. The only problem I had was quickly resolved, they shipped the PC without a CD-RoM, but shipped one at no charge which I installed with no trouble.
I have had no other problems and so haven't had to deal with their Tech Support. The Systems are easy to upgrade with either off the shelf components or by ordering from Cyberpower themselves.
