Ordered PowerBook RAM, excellent price. However, first chips delivered did not work at all. They accepted the return and sent replacements.

The second set seemed to work, but I began to have random kernel panics. Apple Hardware Test CD showed that one of the chips had defective blocks.

Removed it, kept using the other. Worked well for about 10 months, then went completely bad -- AHT would crash trying to test it!

Guess that's what I get for buying cheap generic RAM.
