I have used EBC Computers dozens of times over the past 10 years or so. I will never buy another motherboard from them again. I have purchased 4 bad motherboards from them that I had to return. I do not necesarily blame Ed Bodoya, but he does need to take a better look at his return procedures. EBC has always replaced my defective merchandise, but it seems very disorganized and has been time consuming at times. EBC is a good store where if you need something quick, it is available. I would not assemble an entire computer from EBC, but occasionally, I will buy a hard drive or a fan if I need a part quickly and don't worry too much about it konking out within 30 days. EBC offers very good prices and good availablity of parts. I am glad that EBC has hung in there. A lot of the problems with returns is not understanding their policy and trying to make them enforce your wishes when they do go against their policy. The close out items, I would never touch with a 10 foot pole simply because they do not take them back after 3 days, and they are ALL used parts. Be careful. At least they are honest about their advertising of their close out special items. Overall, EBC is a good computer store and they have soom cool looking computers. Just be careful and know what you are doing when you order there.

Ordered a motherboard and it never shipped even after 20 days. Complete waste of time dealing with this company. I finally had to order a motherboard from reputable vendor. It shipped in 3 days with no problem. I have read other reviews on this company and they pull the same kind of stalling with dozens of customers. Do not deal with this company again and warn others to steer clear of them at all costs. A complete waste of time.

Complaint Summary

Company charged my credit card, 27. but not confirmed the cancellation of my order or even if it was ever shipped at all.
Resolution Sought

Answer my emails or return my phone calls and REFUND MY CREDIT CARD!!!!! I will say it again very cleary. REFUND MY CREDIT CARD AND CANCEL THE ORDER. Too little too late to ship it now. The credit card will be disputed at this point.

Is this company really that dense? They have not answered my recent emails or refunded my credit card as I have asked.

Just to let you know this complaint will be sent to PC World, reviews.com, and other computer blogs based upon their actions in the next 24 hours.

“Order #9672 Was ordered by customer on Nov 14, 2010. We have all emails as proof that this customer has made threats to us from the beginning. We inform on website that these are discontinued units and that we have to transfer from our warehouse in China and may take 5-8 business days. If you agree to these terms you may proceed to checkout. Which is what this customer did. He then emailed us stating he needed the package next day and so forth. We replied reminding him of the time frame needed to fulfill the order in which he made threats and decided to cancel the order. From Nov 14, 2010 is when order was placed and on Nov 20, 2010 is when we had refunded the customer his full amount of the order.

He did not wait 20 days like he states, After we refunded the money back to customer on Nov 14th, 2010 We emailed him to inform him and cancelled his account.”
