Ordered a green laser pointer. Received it quickly. Very happy with the product.

Let me start off by saying I didn't really want to do a refill to begin with, but my laptop is both old and rare, so I was unable to find a new battery that FOR SURE fit it. Many came close, but no one I talked to could 100% guarantee that a new $130 battery would work for me, and I was in a hurry. So when I saw that batteryrefill.com would overhaul my battery in 7-10 business days, I decided that was a risk worth taking. At least the battery electronics would work with the laptop.

Ordering went easily enough, and shipping my battery to them was easy. They confirmed they received it on September 25th. After that, things went downhill.

After 9 business days, I called them to find out the status. I had a trip I needed the battery for coming up in 3 days. I was told that unfortunately, they did not have the replacement batteries in stock, and were expecting a shipment "any day now." Needless to say I was somewhat upset by this, but you know, crap happens, so I let it slide and had to slink around a foreign country trying to find plugs to plug my laptop in to.

I got back from my trip on October 15th, fully expecting to find a battery in my mailbox, and did not find one. I called again, and after several attempts where no one answered, I finally got through. They STILL didn't have batteries, but "we're expecting them on Friday (Oct 17)." Okay, my next trip isn't until November 6th, I can wait.

The beginning of November rolls around, and I STILL have nothing. At this point, reaching them has become impossible. I sent them email. I left voice mail. Nothing. I then looked them up here and was like... Oh CRAP, there goes my battery and my money. I keep calling, and eventually get the same guy I got the last two times I was able to talk to someone. Seems competent, but after he reports that my battery was "in process" and should have been done already, he wanders off to talk to a tech and the phone disconnects. That's the last time I ever was able to reach anyone.

All that said, however, I DID receive a surprise. On November 12th, I got an email saying my battery had shipped, and the next day it was in my mailbox. Color me surprised, after having read all these reviews. Naturally, I was still skeptical, and fully expected it to not work (or maybe not even have been worked ON).

However, it does work, so I am barely satisfied with the company. They REALLY REALLY REALLY need to work on their communication. BBB has listed them as an F, and despite the fact that I did eventually get my product, I have to agree. It took nearly 2 months, when they claimed 2 weeks. If I'd gotten bi-weekly (or even weekly) status updates by email, I don't think I'd have been as frustrated.

So, in summary, they ARE capable of doing what they advertise. However, it may well take a LOT longer than they say. Quality of their work is what one would expect--battery cases were not meant to be opened, so you can see where they used a Dremel and screwdriver. But once the battery is in the laptop, you cannot see it in normal use, so that doesn't really bother me.

Very happy with my PC case order from this company. The website was easy to use, the order shipped promptly, and arrived with no problems. Will use again, if the occasion warrants.

After having a horrid experience ordering a video card from another company, I tried this company and was very pleased to get my item 6 days after I hit the SUBMIT button on my order. That's how it should be done. *glares at other company* Note that pcsupplysource.com also goes by the name ACOOL.COM, so if you get a bit confused by the web page, that's what's going on.

The only gripe I have (which didn't directly affect me because I was ordering a video card) is that their web site could use some work, especially on their Hot Deals pages: The motherboards don't always have brand/model numbers listed. Sometimes you can find out what they are by clicking to the specifications, and then to the link to the manufacturer page, and sometimes you can't even get that.

Also, there's no way to quickly navigate through multiple pages: They have links, but no page numbers.

However, those are minor concerns: I'd rather have fast and accurate service than a glitzy web page any day (in fact, I'm a fan of minimalist web sites as it is, so the lack of fancy graphics did not bother me at all). And the service was exactly what I wanted.

No problems whatsoever ordering from J&R. Ordered on December 3, received item 6 days later. Prices aren't the absolute lowest out there in general, but this particular item was on sale, and for that one day, it was cheaper than anywhere else. Should I ever have need of something J&R carries, I'll definitely consider them again.

Very pleased with their service. There was a nice sale on a product I had trouble finding in local stores, so I ordered a bunch. The minimum order to avoid shipping costs was $25, so I also had an impulse buy to push me over the limit. They have a nice feature that tells you how much more you need to buy before your shipping is free.

The shipment arrived 7 days after I pressed the "confirm order" button, and was complete.

Also, drugstore.com has a fairly complete selection of items. If I have need of something they sell in the future, I will certainly consider ordering from them again.

So far, I'm not happy. It took them almost a week after I placed my order to ship the motherboard/CPU combo I ordered. However, I reasoned that perhaps they were out of stock (their web site doesn't give a stock count) or were backlogged.

When I finally received the package 13 days after the order date, it arrived in a beat-up box. At first, I wondered what the heck had happened, but upon opening it, I discovered that it had been re-used. Since I'm a fan of recycling, I was amused by this and actually gave them credit for recycling (the box wasn't so beat up as to be dangerous to its contents).

However, when I pulled the motherboard box out, I was appalled to discover it was not what I had ordered. Okay, maybe they just stuck it in another box, you know, like the recycling. Nope. Inside was what was advertised on the outside of the box, and not what I had ordered.

I immediately sent an email and gave them 36 hours to respond, which they did not. I then called them, and talked to someone who eventually agreed that they would replace the board if I sent it back (though they did ask if I wanted to just keep it, since it was almost the same as what I had ordered). I agreed I'd send it back, but I would expect to receive a refund for the shipping costs, since this was not my error for the return.

They will receive the board on the 23rd of November, at which point I am to fax my UPS receipt for the refund for shipping.

[Edit: I finally got the proper parts, which work fine. However, it was something of a surprise because they never contacted me when they shipped the replacement. I called one day to find out the status, only to be told that the shipment was scheduled to arrive that same day! (which it did.)

I have not been credited for the return shipping costs I incurred. I've decided I'm just going to let it go, because it's such a pain to deal with customer service here, so my final cost is $15 more than originally planned for.]

This is my second or third order from them. I've always gotten what I ordered, gotten it fast, and have not experienced any major problems.

If I had one complaint, I'd say the shipping prices were a tad high, but not outrageous.

So far, I am unimpressed by the customer service at this company. I ordered a video card on November 3rd. Like others, I had my order status plod through various states before they claimed they shipped it. However, I was never sent a tracking number. No big deal, I said, as long as I get it. Well, it's been over a week since the status changed to "Shipped," and I have not yet received my item. I sent them an email on 15 November asking for the tracking info, so I can see what's going on. It is now the 18th, and I have yet to hear back from them on what is, in my opinion, an extremely short email for them to write. I called them as well this morning, and despite calling during their business hours (which are Eastern time, by the way--not mentioned on their web site), I got the generic recording that sounded like they weren't open. I left a message asking that the tracking info be sent to me, and still nothing.

Update: Monday, 21 November. I called early in the morning and left a message, saying if I didn't hear back from them by the end of the business day on Tuesday, I'd contact my credit card company and start the process of getting my money back. Not surprisingly, I did not hear anything.

We shall see if the credit card company is able to break through this company's lack of caring about its customers. If either I or my CC company don't hear anything by 30 November, I will formally give up on them and order from somewhere else.

What really saddens me is the fact that they do seem to read what's happening here, and respond to it. One would hope that the comments would really encourage them to improve their customer relations.

Edit (1 Dec): Nothing. I'm terminating this transaction. It's quite clear that this "company" is fraudulent, and has no intention of selling actual items to people. The one positive rating down below was probably spoofed.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Like many others, I made the mistake of not checking a review site before ordering from them.

I ordered a few things on Oct 19. I was charged the next day, yet I am still waiting for the order status to change to "shipped."

I have not yet contacted them, because it's not a lot of money, the items are not critical, and I enjoy watching people hang themselves through their own incompetence.

But if you are ordering a lot, or need something fast, I'd say pay a bit more at a more reputable place. I'd suggest using pricewatch.com, I've had a lot of good experiences with the companies who are represented there.

Update: November 9th, the package showed up.
