BUYER'S BEWARE:
Oh, how I wished I had seen their ratings here before I was suckered.
On Thursday, May 29, 2003, I ordered an ATI Radeon 9500 Pro (retail)[$169], a Thermaltake Xaser II A5000A Plus case (w/ lg window kit)[$99] and a Microsoft Internet Keyboard PS/2 [18]. No email confirmation sent.
On May 30, 2003, they charged my Visa $286.01. I checked the "order tracking" at qbitpc.com, and it showed my order number, date, amount, that I was fully paid, and said "click here for status". Clicking there took me to a page with even less info, and on that page the "CLICK HERE FOR INFO" wasn't clickable. I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and waited until Monday.
On Monday morning, June 2, I sent an email inquiring about my order. I didn't receive a reply until almost 8pm Tuesday night. Here was the ENTIRE reply:
"order canceled , no stock
sorry"
Yesterday, June 4, I exchanged a number of emails attempting to clarify the situation and learned that although they had charged my Visa, they were out of the case and video card. However, up until after the last email I sent them yesterday, both were listed on their site as available for purchase. To their credit, they've since corrected the site.
Every attempt to call them, at either toll-free number or their Annapolis, MD number results in no one answering and full voicemails for all but accounting. Left a message today and didn't hear back. Their last email yesterday was:
"your order has been canceled and we will not be offering those products anymore. they were on liquidaton and we ran out. sorry"
It's June 5, and I'm still waiting for them to credit my card. Hopefully I won't have to resort to more drastic means to get the money they took from me.
