There are several negative reviews for PPCS and these should be taken seriously. Clearly they have been working on their customer communication issues, because I received good and polite service.
You never know how good a companies customer service is until they make a mistake. I ordered several parts including a heat sink and custom cables.
The custom cables are great, and show good quality (not great, as they are hand made... but better than the hand made cables I make). The heat sink I ordered ended up being an older version than the version advertised on their website. I sent them an e-mail detailing the problem and they responded immediately. I sent them a photo of the box and product. I didn't want to go through the hassle of sending it back, so they asked me what I thought was a fair remedy. I responded with what I thought was fair, and they approved.
All this happened after 5 PM Eastern Time and over about an hour.
Clearly PPCS are committed to good customer service. I think the areas they have faltered that are detailed in other reviews have either been exceptions, or resolved.
Please note that the Heat sink I ordered (Baram 2010, received Baram) has no part number, bar code, or other identifying mark on the box other than the product name so it is a very easy mistake to make, and not a sign of systematic laziness or poor QC. In short, the part number (not description), said Baram. They shipped me a Baram. I am sure they are taking action now to make sure it doesn't happen again.
I will order from them again.
