On the evening of June 15,2006 we placed online order. On the morning of June 16,2006 we realized that an online coupon for 10% off was available. We called 1-800-430-3376 to find out what could be done. The customer service rep advised that she would cancel the original order so a new order could be placed. The rep confirmed that the order was cancelled and we asked her twice to confirm it was cancelled, because we planned to reoerder the item with the coupon and did not want to receive two patio sets.
Over the next week we realized that not only were we charged for two patio sets but two had been shipped. When we called on 06/19/06 the associate confirmed that the order was cancelled but the patio set was shipped anyway. We were advised to refuse the order and we would be refunded. We refused the delivery over the phone 6/22/06. Since June we have made another 6 calls (again a minimum of 30-40 minutes wait to speak to an associate) to the internet customer care area plus sent 2 unanswered emails through the homedepot website in an attempt to have the order in the amount of $674.96 refunded. It has now been a month and a half and we have still not received our refund.
We called one last time 7/25/06 phone # 1-800-430-3376. We spoke to Ebony and her supervisor Cara A. (they would not give us their last names). They told us we would get the refund in 48 to 72 hours.
Its been 5 days since then - NO REFUND!!!
