Complete lack of customer service.
I ordered a laptop last Friday. Today is Tuesday and it still had not even been charged to my card. I called one number multiple times and was disconnected. Called the second number and got ahold of somebody. He tells me they 'cannot verify my billing address'.
I ask him what is the problem, he cannot explain it. I confirm that they have the correct address. It's a normal VISA card, issued by my bank for my checking account. He asks for the telephone number on the back. Says he will call to verify it--whatever that is supposed to accomplish. Calls me back saying they won't give out customer information--DUH. What kind of company calls my local bank and asks the teller answering the phone for personal information? Years of ordering from the likes of Newegg, Amazon, eBay, as well as smaller companies and this has never come up.
I ask what I'm supposed to do. He acts like I'm asking in moonspeak. I say fine, cancel the order and I will take my money elsewhere.
Now I'm left more than a little concerned that they undoubtedly retain my personal information in their database, and I could not trust them less. Seems highly suspect.
