The drives failed after a year (well within the standard Maxtor warranty.) I contacted Maxtor for repair on the drives. Maxtor said that the drives were \u0022evaluation units\u0022 that were not for resale and not covered under warranty. I contacted 7Bytes by phone, fax, and e-mail. I never got a response. I finally \u0022caught\u0022 Greg at his phone. He said, \u0022we have a 30 day warranty on our goods.
