First time ordering fragile photo foam backing board (and poly bags) from this company. Competitive prices and quick shipment. Two large boxes were VERY well packed (Jerry's Artarama could learn a thing or two about how to pack fragile materials from these guys), and arrived without damage.

Their website could use updating, though, to make it more user friendly.

Purchased a total of 70 16x20 and 18x24 pre-cut photo mats as a first time customer taking advantage of a sale. I was apprehensive when their web site mentioned that they could not guarantee mats would arrive without corner damage. But I figured that as an art supply company that's been in business since 1968, they would have their packing down to a science.

I couldn't have been more wrong. The very oversized box arrived today and it appears that the mats were pretty much just thrown into the too-large shipping box. There was a tiny piece of bubble wrap on either end of the large box which didn't come close to sufficiently protecting the ends of the mats. There was no cushion packaging whatsoever along the sides of the mats and the two heavy rolls of boxed hinging tape seem to have been simply thrown into the box on top of the mats.

Unbelievably, the mat corners were not damaged during their cross country trip; but I'm amazed at the carelessness with which this fragile order was packaged.

This may well be my first and last order from this company.

I have ordered from this company several times. Once it took three (yes three) ADDITIONAL shipments of a replacement part before they got it right; but they were always very apologetic, helpful and promptly tried to remedy the problem.

They carry some interesting items that attract my attention, but as with most any company these days, so many products are just overpriced. I wait until they have a serious sale before I order.

One glaring deficiency is that they currently do not allow online customers to rate their products.

Most of what I have ordered has been of very good quality, but if it doesn't meet my expectations they will accept returns, no questions asked. In short, I have no qualms about ordering from them again.

My first order to this nursery provided me with a selection of interesting plants that were well packaged and arrived in good condition.

The plants were well grown but small. I found the prices a bit on the high side. This may be due to the fact that in my So Cal neck of the woods plants are generally better priced and considerably larger.

Again in their defense, they have a nice selection of unusual plants and those they shipped were very well grown - one though small already had berries on it.

I might not have ordered the Aronia had they included the common name of Chokeberry on their website. I recall this plant from my childhood and its berries were only marginally considered edible.
