I ordered an item from Macy's online. After placing my order, within a days time, I realized I did not want the item.
I tried canceling my order online. To my suprise, Macy's does not give you that option. What a scam. As the order didn't have a ship date for 3 more days, I called their customer service and asked them to delete the order. Again to my suprise, they told me they couldn't because it was being prepared for shipping.
They even confirmed that the shipping date was still 3 days out. WTH! The best they told me they could do was to put in a request to the shipper, so that once shipped, they would redirect the merchandise back to their warehouse.
Days later, once the order had shipped, it was rerouted by carrier back to their warehouse. Weeks later when I get a credit back to my account for the returned item i notice that they refunded the price of the product less shipping. So, I check and sure enough it is in their shipping faqs.
Needless to say, this has been a horrible experience. I paid $6 and received nothing. I will NEVER recommend their online store to anyone. I purchase online frequently and this is a first! I truely think they are aware of this whole situation and it part of a scam to increase profit on their end.
