Let me first start by saying, I have been a repeat customer for several years. The first 20+ arrangements I sent met or exceeded my expectations. But the last couple have been terrible. Let's start with time before last the birth of my sister's baby, I spent over 100 to get an arrangement that looked liked a 12 year old who picked flowers on her way home from school could have done a better job...I proceeded to call them and they gave me a $20 discount and I explained it is not about the money but about what terrible arrangment you sent. So they agreed to deliver a new arrangement the following day....long story short not much better. So, now we get to what will be my last arrangement ever ordered from them( I should have learned my lesson but decided to give them another try...since soo many times in the past things had been good and I thought maybe the past couple were just because of the florist they were using or the arrangements I was choosing). So my Mom has been very ill and was in ICU for several days....I wanted something to liven up her room as soon as she was in a normal hospital room. So, I called 1800flowers to try and get something delivered same day...but the bouquets they were describing did not sound good enough for my Mom. So, I went on line and settled for next day since there was a much wider variety available if I waited an extra day. So, I ordered a great arrangement and baloons, etc. the next evening I am at hospital and no flowers...so I call the representative( who could hardly understand me for some reason)...I got some lame excuse that the florist rejected the order and they had been trying all day to find another florist( I call BS, I am in Dallas, tx where there are several thousand florist)....but she assures me they will be delivered the next day.....hmmm, no flowers....so I call again. She explains there was a mistake and the order was not place( at this time they tell me take 50% off). Ok, so we agree to supervisor calling me in the morning after they talk to the florist with a delivery time because they were going to expedite it. At 2:30, I had no call...so I called them(now they tell me they will be free)...at this time my Mom was going to be released so we decided to have them delivered to her house in 2 days. I get an email in the morning that no one was available at that address by that name, so I call the 800.flowers and they say they gave them the wrong zip code....arrggg...but rest assured they will be delivered today 7 hours later I get an email they had been delivered and guess what there are no flowers....so I call again and explain no flowers. They explain there must be a glitch in the system...so they try and call the florist...no answer....but some how they assure me flowers will be here before 7.....are you kidding me... The florist isn't answering...it is after 5 local time and they have already told you multiple hours ago they delivered them...but you are going to assure me they will be delivered. Get a clue people, I am not calling you everyday b/c I want some flowers for free....it was about surprising my Mom and making a moment special and you have ruined that!!! If I wanted to be cheap or wanted a discount, I wouldn't be using you in the first place....it is out of sheer convenience....I knew you were over priced but in the past you had been consisten and at least good quality....now both are terrible. I am no longer hopeful that flowers will arrive...I am just hopeful they actually refund me so I do noy have to EVER call them again. I will be trying ftd tomorrow or a local florist...I will definately not be using 800-flowers and I suggest you do not either.. But, the good news in this all is my Mom is home!
