This is beyond the best company I have ever done business with. I come from a Customer Service background from a company with the highest Customer Satisication rating in the Wireless Industry, but even that company doesn't compare to New Egg. When it comes to customer satisifaction, they go our of their way to provide customer satisifaction. Let me explain why.
I have built 2 PC's, 90% of the equipment has been purchased by New Egg. The second computer I built was for a friend. We had originally purchased the motherboard for his computer first and other computer parts peice by peice. By the time I was able to test the motherboard, it was bad. New Egg no longer carried the same motherboard and allowed an exchange to the next better motherboard (a bit higher in price) at no additional cost!
Now for the specific Invoice that lead me to comment on New Egg... I was trying to be cheap and purchase an enclosure for my hard drive to make it external... Unfortunetly the product I bought was below average. It not only didn't work, my hard drive didn't even fit. Standard SATA Seagate 400gig. I cut my losses, requested a return and after the cost of the $6.00 shipping to send back and the $20 part with 15% restocking, I would have received a fraction of my money back. I left a review regarding the dissatisfaction of the product and I received an email a couple days later apologizing for the experience and offering a $25 rebate... I replied and said, well it wouldn't be fair to return the product and expect any kind of refund for it (even the small amount I was going to get back), so I would just throw it away and accept the $25.00, but asked if I could please have the $6.00 return shipping label cost refunded, since it was not going to be used (I used their service to purchase and print the return label).... They replied and said, it would be pointless to return the product since it was so inexpensive, that they would give me a FULL REFUND, the $25 Rebate on my next purchase, and the $6.00 refund on my shipping...., after suggesting all I wanted was the $6.00 back since it wasn't going to be used... Unbeleivable.
This day and age, Customer Service is key. But in every enviroment I have worked in the bottom line always effects the ability to provide great customer service, and that bottom line is squeezing every penny out of every opertunity, sacrificing customer satisfaction... This is the reason I am no longer with the "leader in wireless customer satisifaction".... New Egg has gone out of it's way... AFTER requesting less then what they have provided. This is FAR beyond my expectations as a customer, and far beyond my experience with any Customer related field. They are reliable, they are quick, their pricing is by far the most competitive in the industry. Thank god for a company like New Egg, I am a life long customer.
