I also made a purchase from this place without checking here first like an idiot.

ut to my surprise I had no issues. I purchased a car mount for my new Samsung Vibrant phone and also a solar panel charger. I placed the order on Aug 3rd and it shipped the same day (no tracking info ever sent though). I picked the one up on shipping which I believe was 2-3 days. I now have the package in hand and its Aug 5th. Everything looks to be in working order.

I honestly thought I was in for some trouble, but it seems to have went without a hitch. I used google checkout. Maybe that made a difference?

The only con I have is the solar panel is somewhat cheap quality wise. Granted it was only $30. It works great, but is straight from oversea's. Most of the writing on it is not english. Even though it works, I have a feeling they paid next to nothing for these. Little curious to see how long it will hold up. When the packaging has that fake suede like material that you get on stuff out of grab machines, you know its probably cheap, heh.

For all the techs out there, I ordered from the egg on the same day and I am still waiting on that order. Even though I should get it today. I consider anyone who beats the egg at shipping to be quick.

All in all though I am satisfied. I would order from them again.

I purchased an item from this company via buy.com before coming here. Had I come here first, I would have not. While I was very worried after seeing the posts here, the item did come new and packaged fine. Next time I dont think I will use a store with such a low rating. I saved $1 plus shipping using them, but would much rather have purchased from a well known source with a better rating and pay a little extra. I just feel sorry for all the rest here.
While I have never been to NY, this has to be a large store. Something like Fry's electronics on the west coast. They included a catalog with my order and it looks almost identical to a Fry's ad. In anycase, there's still no reason to have such a low overall score. Buy.com is also to blame as it seems they'll affiliate with anyone. I wrote them and asked how they go about signing up with 3rd parties and received a canned answer that fell on deaf ears. Not sure I will ever order from them again as well.
