I placed an order with Optics Planet for a pair of prescription lens glasses. This was on November 25th. About a month later, I called to see what the status was of my order. I was told they could not figure out where my order was and that they would call me back. As I needed an answer, I called four hours later (they promised they would call within one hour), I found out my frames were held up in customs and was promised I would get them within a month.
I figured, I already waited a month, why not another??
About 2-3 weeks later, I received notice that my frames were out of stock and discontinued. After that I was offered a whopping 10% discount and expedited shipping if I chose another frame. Please keep in mind that during the time I was waiting, I received emails new orders could get $20 off (more than 10% off based on my order price).
Overall, I did not have a good experience with Optics Planet and a pitiful 10% off does not come close to rectifying this problematic purchase.
