My worst online shopping experience to date. I ordered a $526 toilet from DPO May 10, 2010. Two weeks later I contacted them because I had not been sent any shipping information. They said the item was being shipped that day. The toilet was not shipped, however my credit card was CHARGED AGAIN for another $526. I contacted them the next day, May 26, to let them know about the double charge and was told it would be credited. My toilet final arrived five weeks after placing the original order, but I still have a duplicate charge totaling $1052.00 on my AMX card. DPO does not respond to emails concerning the double charge and I cannot reach them over the phone.
I’m not sure how the DPO business is set up. My credit card has them listed as “Faucet Depot” doing business as Hersch Pipe and Supply in Van Nuys CA. But even calling Hersch Pipe and Supply directly does not help in getting to a DPO sales rep.
I would be very, very wary about ordering anything from this business. I am waiting now on American Express to clear up the double charge, since DPO is unresponsive.
